Mtx prices are INSANE!

It´s easy. Just ignore them and they will lower the prices eventually.

..or are they keeping them high just so that the sales seem like a bargain? hmmm.

since they introduced "sales", the reduced price price has been the real price. why? because there is no need or pressure to buy at the full price (like you have with buying food in the real world). you can wait indefinitely before you support.

however genius the game started, with their sales (and later mtx boxes) the innovation cycle came to an shrieking halt because they just copied the principle from pay to win games where this makes sense cause those items bring an ingame advantage and you actually need them.

I agree. But i think we are the minority considering that GGG is doing well financially at the moment.

"if mtx were cheaper, people would stop spending sooner."

This is the part that doesn't make any sense. MTX is expensive, people are more likely to buy one expensive set and be good. Cheaper MTX would just encourage more people to dress up multiple characters or switch when they got bored with it. More expensive items just encourages people to get that one set and never change it unless they enjoy spending another $100+.

Just look at Fortnite right now. It's literally putting out $20 skins and seeing everyone buy them instantly on the first day, even though they already have all the previous skins that released. People got to have the latest and greatest.
Umm you do realize the difference in player base size here right? This game is way more niche and thus has much less players, it has to set prices higher to compensate. Also GGG isn't stupid, they and others have done the research. Its something like 10% of people are willing to spend any money at all in a ftp, so to get the most out of them prices have to be high.
not buying plus i historically been pushing my mates not to buy too. the prices are unreasonable

is there really a need to dress up more than one char? and isn't the power ranger armors ggg threw after players for one league challenge pretty enough to distinguish yourself from the rest?

...

i looeked up the pay to win shit that is fortnite. so you need a league pass which is the same as ggg charging 20$ for a temp league to be able to reach maps in there and you unlock specific armor sets.

but that's hardly what you meant.
you likely meant the free pass where you're limited in progressing and can buy not so exclusive mtx. people are really buying that?

Did you just call Fortnite pay to win? lol

Fortnite's Battlepass is just a massive amount of cosmetics you pay to grind for. It cost less than $9, you get money back, and it provides $35+ worth of cosmetics.

Why would you do that? Let people, even friends decide for themselves. You’re only hurting the company that makes your favourite game.

i don't play that game. i just read that you get boosters when buying the battle passes and without boosters it's difficult to get to the highest levels cause the free pass limits the challenges you can do per week.

mtx are bound to the battle pass. so it's pay2play and the boosters make it pay2win.

...

while i don't like the boosters i also think ggg should charge for temp leagues and lower their mtx prices . mtx that get more impressive by level are also a nice incentive to play.

Pay to Win would mean that it has to affect gameplay. Everything in the Battlepass is cosmetic.

The Battlepass is just paying a small amount of money for the right to grind XP to unlock over 100 cosmetic items.

There are no boosters to buy. You just play the game. It takes on average 80-140 hours to unlock everything in the battle pass.
