Major expansions release once each couple of years like 2.0 in 2015 or 3.0 in august 2017.

Individual MTX are too expensive but at least the new 60$ supporter packs are to some degree a good bang for the buck.
They contain points for purchase flexibility and some decent armour sets (with some exceptions).

blizzard charges you 132 euro min per year for world of warcraft now

that's equal to an armour set, some effects and pets and all that is deleted after a year and you have to buy it again for the next year.


poe is really cheap if you play it for a longer time :-)

It's actually kinda amazing that people with $12,500 supporters pack or people that religiously buy every supporters pack each time they put new ones out are saying MTX prices are ridiculous... while the ones that rarely buys anything say MTX prices are fine.

I mean even PoE's biggest whale said the mtx price are crazy and for those didn't play this game since when PoE just started, MTX back in the days also carries much lower average price GGG is charging now.

I think he's saying that you can fully dress up 1 character, and fully rape all the mtx off it and put on a different character every time you play a different char.

basically he's saying it only cost a few hundred dollars or so to fully dress up a character... and since most of them are reusable... he's implying that PoE MTX is therefore very cheap.

This is the part that doesn't make any sense. MTX is expensive, people are more likely to buy one expensive set and be good. Cheaper MTX would just encourage more people to dress up multiple characters or switch when they got bored with it. More expensive items just encourages people to get that one set and never change it unless they enjoy spending another $100+.

Just look at Fortnite right now. It's literally putting out $20 skins and seeing everyone buy them instantly on the first day, even though they already have all the previous skins that released. People got to have the latest and greatest.
