Mtx prices are INSANE!
It would be much better without the highway robbery. A suit of armor for the price of a new AAA title even when discounted. Besides they make the money from tabs and other items.

" to Rtimusexile: Monsters inc. - we was waking up at 4:45 to attack League kingdom and to kill their King. First kill ever. Was was taking photos in their square :)). In their base Leagues goblin gave us +30 or +40 points for sacrament scrolls. We had phones on each other and when there was some big fight we went/woken up to play :) It was crazy :). League had no chance after goblins buff, Astral Planes was ours. One level 13 rune costs cca 17k$ - PoE can dream of :). |

" Not sure what buying a lot of supporter packs has to do with the very real observation that a bundle of pixels that color my pixel sword can cost upwards of $25 USD. That's crazy expensive IMO and I own a lot of supporter packs. If you look WAY back in my post history when they first announced MTX's you'll find that this isn't a new observation for me. I was concerned whether or not they understood what the "micro" part of "MTX" meant. When they started talking multiple dollars for a single weapon MTX that could only be applied to one weapon on one character at a time, I was like holy shit, those are macro transactions. "That's too expensive!" I said. "We (the players) will never go for it!" I exclaimed. And now, I own a lightning scorpion. WTF happened to me? :) But, old news. Clearly it's working for them. Nowadays I try and wait for sales. At least those prices are semi-palatable. P.S. Also, this game is the cheapest game I've ever owned from an hours of entertainment per dollar basis. Most $60 AAA titles give me 15-30 hours of entertainment if I'm lucky, so that's something between $2 and $4 / hour. I play well over a hundred of hours of POE almost every league I participate in (I even went almost 200 hours in Beastiary and I hated that league). I'm definitely way over 3500 hours total. I would guess I pay around $0.25 / hour for POE. While the game is entirely free, I like the visuals and they do enhance my enjoyment a lot so for me that is a good investment of my fun funds. P.P.S. I also liked the fact that I was supporting an independent startup instead of funding EA or Blizzard. POE Serenity Prayer: GGG, grant me the serenity to accept the RNG I cannot change,
the courage to challenge any unbalanced content, and the wisdom to avoid the forums. Mad: "Oh, it's simple and if you insist... I just think you're a dick. That's all." QFT: 4TRY4C&4NO |

" I mean, you DO understand what happened when Tencent bought GGG shares, right? Because you've said 'they've got tencent funds' twice now, and I'm really hoping you're pretending to not understand. On topic; Ya'll are getting three fucking expansions worth of content every year, for free. Even the shittiest leagues now still come with new mechanics, reworked skills, new skills, new bosses, new uniques, new items ect. Any other game would literally call just bestiary an entire expansion. Hell, Blizzard's D3 would have spent two years promoting it, and still charged you 60$. Ya, the shit's more expensive then you'd think. But it's a fantastic FTP game that gets multiple giant content updates yearly. If you can't afford it, work harder. |

" So don't buy them, simple as that. You're simultaneously calling the cosmetics "worthless pixels on a pixel sword" that "looks worse than in game items" while being upset you can't use it. They price things based on analytics of statistics and business intelligence. They know when to put what on sale by how much. They know the profits they'll make at every price point you can come up with. |
