Mtx prices are INSANE!

While I think both parties would benefit from a more reasonable pricing strategy, it also occurred to me that had I been paying a subscription to play this game for as long as I have, it would equate to roughly $300-400 anyway.

Since POE delivers such quality in the genre like no other, it seems justified, though imo probably not the best business model they could have.

If prices were more reasonable, they would sell a lot more items, especially cosmetics. The problem as I see it is, high price single sales brings with it a high risk factor- risk in that people are hesitant to spend a lot on a single item or set because it's very possible they will get sick of it sooner or later and want another. If items/sets were cheaper I could buy several and know that i'll always have something nice.

They feel more special when they are priced like this.
If a set was a couple of bucks, everyone would be running around looking cool.

Seriously, this a is a F2P game - they have to capitalize it somehow since TANSTAAFL and MTX/TABS is how. Of course they are high since only a small fraction buy.

I think they are high too but I understand the maths so it;s ok with me. Get in on sales and do challenges for free MTX is my best advice

I can forgive the prices because it's all optional. You don't NEED any of it, aside from maybe a couple stash tabs, which is still less than the price of any full price game.

Specifically when they are making more and more good looking in-game body armour 3d arts (which is really generous, given this is reducing their income): Cospri's, Cloak of Tawr'whatever and Shadowstitch is last examples.

That's like "hey, you want to support us and look cool while playing our game? Great, thanks... but if not that's not a problem"

Look for example at stash prices... They are very low compare to mtx'es, while they are actually affect gameplay. (For example 75points for currency tab that u have to buy once in your poe career)



You don't need mtx'es to play the game. And btw... U still have free mtx like challenge reward or free box in once a while.(Like in upcoming flashback)
