" It's not that they go back on what they say. It's that what they say makes no sense to begin with. How can Reave be about dual wielding if you alternate weapons? How can maps be about item drops and not XP if they're the only way for a high level character to get any XP? None of those sentiments make any sense even from the start. |

It's not even just the shield.
Unless your two weapons are within 10% attack speed of each other you'll just be attacking slower anyway even while dual wielding. If you ever come across a high speed base with a good attack speed mod then you're better off with a shield because chances are your off-hand is going to decrease your total attack-speed since for every single main-hand hit you're going to have to wait for that slow off-hand to swing again. I fully agree with your assessment on reave obviously. my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. " Well they are right on that. Cyclone does not desync on enemy collision but it has the worst desync in the game with any form of terrain. I can not stand using that skill. As for reave.. in that same topic devs said that dual wielding probably needs to be buffed if it's not worth it with reave.
