Standard League is the best league.

Big standard fan here.
Well, I don't play on standard anymore, but anyway I'm not the hardcore spirit. So I tried domination.
And it's all great.
Standard is great, because you constantly get progress. Domi is great, 'cause it was a fresh start, but anyway is a progress as well, since all will land in standard later.
Also, Nemesis is great as well. Not for me, but I'm happy it's in the game. Relax folks and have a beer. Then play some PoE, and don't get surrounded in a corner. Dont die! Lol.

If you use it that way that's fine, I don't care, but you can't do that and then say the game is too easy because of it.

The chance of death makes my character seem much more real to me. Why I play that mode.

If you enjoy standard then by all means..

However I find people that demand a return on their time investment in gaming silly. At some point you will be bored and realize that time you supposedly invested becomes meaningless because you aren't playing anymore.

experimenting with builds is a big part of the fun in PoE and is something that can't be done with the fear of permanent death or the wealth to quickly gear up a new character :)

i played on anarchy league for 4 months and it was a pure wast of time, standard league 4 ever

Everyone quits eventually but during the time I am playing I see no appeal in having to start from scratch every four months. It is like a hamster spinning in a wheel or a donkey following a carrot on a stick.

For me the enjoyment is the obtainment of the things I want in the game, not the chase.

I play on Nemesis purely because I love the rush of adrenaline you get when you get close to death or actually die. Ofc it sucks to die but it makes is so much more fun.

It's the rush it gives. With no perma death league it's a case of "if I spend x hours playing I will have x amount of gear/progress" With perma death that changes everything.

Nothing against standard league if that's what you like then good for you.

But I warn you, if you have a taste or perma loot or death in most games and you'll want more!
