Expected but lawd the inflation on basic items like Devos and roar being like 10x more now. It's pretty rough. Works out to like 13ex outside of rares.
I am trying cyclone out now after starting with ED+CONT to get some quick currency. I am doing a non-bleed/crimson just for now and I'll probably transition. That means executioner/cleaving and running vulnerablity can be put on hold yeah? I am going to fill out still Kinetic, Brink and splitting strikes.
Outside of a nice roll rare with right chants, is Starkonja a decent poverty replacement for a helm? Or better to just stick with a nicely rolled rare?
I am using Kaom's Primacy just for now until I get some luck. I can't think of another poverty option - maybe after uberlab I can drop it because of culling.
Kaom's sub for this build? A belly? Just placement options until I farm more currency.
Read the thread there is tons of info on budget build recommendations. Sinvicta is 2c and way better than Kaoms
Kitava's Feast is also a great option before you get a disfavour, but suffers single target damage due to the built in melee splash. Great for mapping though.
On rare weapons, prioritize phys damage/attack speed/Range. Crit/Accuracy is useless
I'm currently using a Kingmaker and I just want to mention the stat "Insufficient Mana doesn't prevent your Melee Attacks". It's a great budget option while saving up for Disfavour, but also let's you bypass the - to total mana cost on the rings, which as of now are pretty damn expensive if you want a decent one with other stats you are looking for.

Devoto's are already pretty cheap, but you can use a rare helmet to fill in any stat/life/res gaps you might have while leveling. I highly recommend Devoto's for endgame. Blood Rage Attack Speed is best enchantment, but Cyclone IAS/damage, Vuln curse effect, or enfeeble curse effect are also really good.
An unlinked belly is fine, but if you can't afford that any good chest with high life roll can get you by (Ignore gems in rare chest, that's on my hardcore guy).
Any dual res/life glove is great. You can craft 12ias or another res to fill it in for you until you can get your insanity gloves. Insanity gloves are a MUST for endgame though since they help immensely with clear speed and dodging things like shaper's slam. Vuln-on-hit gloves are a great for leveling or before you can maintain running blasphemy. You can also use vuln-on-hit gloves and use cwdt-immortal call-increased duration. Haemophilia it's also a good option but I prefer insanity greatly.
Any good move speed dual res/life boots is good. Base doesn't really matter. Two-Toned are BiS for us since there's not really a good enchant that would be active at all times for us. For mapping, this enchant is fine, for bosses the freeze/shock/ignite one is pretty good as well.
If a cheaper/regular/corrupted Daresso's is out of your price range, then just get a solid amulet that helps fill in the gaps, but also has flat phys and life on it. Carnage heart also really good.
Any rings that have flat phys/life/strength/leech/stat you might need are great until you get your steel rings
Belt of the deceiver is another great cheap option

I don't have impale with this. Maim is linked to Flesh and stone.
I use Pride + flesh and stone + war banner when I feel like it ;)
I wonder if my older weapon with impale on hit is better:
I can't put impale in my 6-link chest, but still I think using the 6-link is my best option (even with the crap stats and 2 blue sockets). I would 5-link a chest if I find a really good one.
I have a starkonja's in my stash that I found, but I don't think the IAS + DEX is worth using it over my current helmet:
Not sure about my choices on gems and gear here.

Just made a couple sales. I've got 8.5ex in my stash rn.
Can anyone take a look at my profile and give me some advice on what I should prioritize in changing? I was thinking my weapon probably needs to be upgraded first, but since Disfavour is out of the question, got any advice on how I should be crafting or buying my own Rare 2H Axe?

Buy an ilevel 80 elder 2h axe (vaal axe pref) then spam alts until you hit level 20 fortify hybrid roll. Regal it and hope to hit good attack speed or flat phys. If you don't hit one of those you have to get the 50/50 annul. This process can take somewhere around 3 or 4 ex depending on how lucky you are.
When you have the axe you just craft to finish it off. Multimod, attack speed, flat phys, int or str/quality and +2 support gems. Total cost for those is 5ex and 8chaos.
Then you just have to 6l which should be fairly easy with 38%q but it's still all luck so you never know.
Note: before any of this you can use perfect fossils on the weapon to get 30%q before you even start the craft but it will add on a fair bit more currency. Alternatively you can add quality through the syndicate or beast mastery crafting later on.
Total cost for the axe should be somewhere around 9-10 ex plus the cost to 6l it.
With how expensive disfavor is this league I don't really see much point investing in one when the craft is pretty much the same price, but each to their own
How strong needs the crafted vall axe to be, in order to be better than the Disfavor??
Stick with Sinvicta if those are your 2 options

I love to be able to play SSF up to an end goal that's achievable playing casually (don't have time to play 6 hours a day).

FAQ gives recs for 3.1 which I assume is obsolete.
Seems like it was confirmed on reddit by GGG that fleshripper's implicit affects the crit chance before overwhelm.
Had this idea of going fleshripper + overwhelm for 5% -> 8% -> 12% base crit. Instead it's 5% -> 7.5% -> 8% making the implicit useless on fleshripper while using that ascendancy. If it gave 12% crit base it would be so insane.
Good thing I'm using RT and didn't spec into overwhelm I suppose.
I see a lot of discussion about crafting your own axe, is it better than disfavour? Seems crafting an axe yourself is cheaper, but is it better?
should 100% be better in most cases, imo. on PoB my current 2h is about 22%ish more dps than a disfavor, and i'm still missing the +2gems which is another 6% dps.
if disfavor was cheaper it would be different but 10ex for an unlinked one is just mad. you would have to be pretty unlucky with alt spamming and annuls to not get a crafted one for less than that
