could worth a try?

It is a very good time to revive Spectral Throw. It was unnerfed and has almost the same base dmg it had before nerf.

There are attack life and mana leech nodes on tree. Everything scales better than previously.

Like always just stack crit multi and attack speed.

From the top of my head (Offline planner):


With rats + maligaro + correct jewels up to 80% crit chance. With correct jewels up to ~150% life. 2% mana/life leech from tree (should be enough to sustain any a speed).
Crit Phys Dagger.

Shadow would be better for ELE version.

Just tried a low life version, no CoE.

With Lioneye's Paws boots, 8k ES, 113k DPS with Lesser + Life Leech. Not as powerful as first release but we can enjoy ST again.

I'm coming back from a long break and would also love to see low life spec throw revived. Have all this old gear sitting in my stash and I'm feeling overwhelmed trying to get back into things. The tree is so much different, my head is spinning lol.

I too would like to see your gear and passive tree. Would also using CoE get you more DPS?

The tree for a level 100 Scion will be something like this.

The usual mirrored gear for this kind of build: Shavronne (both chest and ring), high ES helmet and shield, crit ring and ammy, Loath Bane alike dagger and Lioneye's Paws boots to avoid stun.


Gem setup:

6L: Spectral Throw + Physical to Lightning + Life Leech + WED + LMP
The 6th gem can be Faster Attack, Faster Projectiles or Physical Projectile Attack Damage, up to your playstile.

4L: Blood Rage + Increased Duration + Enhance + Portal

4L: Assassin's Mark + Curse on Hit + Herald of Ice + Herald of Thunder

4L: Enlighten + Blood Magic + Discipline + Herald of Ash

3L: Hatred + Enlighten + Summon Flame Golem

3L: Whirling Blades + Fortify + Faster Attacks

At least one jewel with mana leech, and for Bandits Kill/KIll/Alira.

You can deal more damage with a CoE, but resistances can be hard to cap.

Yes, I use Acuity. The only problem about the build is the mana, but with Mind Drinker node + one or two mana leech jewels (and pretty aiming) seems to be sustainable.

nowadays low life shav is for casters only imo

getting high physical damage from gear+tree is much more effective:
gems like phys proj dmg, melee phys dmg, melee damage on full life, weapon elemental damage, added fire damage give an insane dps that is higher than auras and life leech gem is not needed.

i might try in the next days spectral throw with my lvl 100 ranger

good i still have whirling blades fortify shield and the dagger, i had bought 2 projectile speed jewels because it was my idea to play again spectral throw but ill stick to wander i guess because with spectral throw i can't do phys reflect maps cause of the high physical damage ( same reason why i left flicker/reave for wand )
