once you setup all block points and anoint steelwood stance, cap 75 all resist, your life will be much easer... you can use int/def split personality too

Having great fun with it atm
This is my gear. Hit lvl 97 and working on getting 3 more points to get another free spare socket for even more damage :P ( improvement to gloves stats at a later date )

i found the best way for a half decent chest piece is to buy a cheap random shaper iLVL 85 vaal regalia them spam deafening essences of spite til you hit % increased int with the flat int, then craft from there
That's how i did mine ( this is my new one )
Also, changed helm and gloves around ( slammed life instead of mana but ah well )

Vortex deals next to no damage compared to Icestorm, so higher level only makes it cost more mana.
true, but i have 3.5k mana ( 2.9k reserved ) so i can go up to lvl 21 as i have enough unreserved mana
lvl 1 vortex = 995 average damage
lvl 21 = 33.991.5 average
Every little helps
