[3.7] 1H-Impale Cyclone Champion/Slayer - 16M+ Shaper DPS Fullbuffed / 158%-220% Movspeed Speedy Boy

just weird question, what would shadow version of this be like?

hey guys. is this build more tanky than the 2h axe cyclone slayer that a lot of people are playing? i get oneshot by those big legion mobs every second map (playing 2h).

That won't work. Pride 50%, Flesh and Stone 28%, Blood and Sand 10%, Dread Banner 10% that's total of 98% mana reserved. No way Blasphemy(which need 35%) can fit in there even with Banner 0% on Champion

It's faster and has more damage, so everything dies quicker and you don't have problems surviving. But tankiness mostly comes from being able to not be 1shot and then move around.

ah crap, was thinking of Impresence. yea cwdt both then maybe. Or selfcast for bigger packs. Totem might also work

I am at lvl 88 now and accumulated only very little currency thus far - only around 3 ex total.
What is your strategy to gather currency? I really don't know how to most efficiently spend my time in Poe. I think white map legion is a thing people do but I also think that our build isn't that great at it.

So, how did you guys accumulate all the currency to afford those juicy items?

3ex is very good for that level. Any other league you would need to be very lucky to get anywhere near that just levelling to 88. People who are rocking 450+dps swords and GG jewellery on their first character didn't get them while levelling, they got to lvl 90+, and then started making currency. (Which is why I never make much, I get there, then re-roll!)

Build is fine for spamming low level legions if that's what you want to do - not as good as a MF tornado shot character of course, still fine plus has the advantage of also being able to run higher content.
If you want to optimise for it, drop fortify/damage link for pulverise, use a devoto's and a daresso amulet for max speed and AOE. Will easily full clear legions in open zones. Could even swap in some MF gear if you really want, but I'd concentrate on speed.
Could even switch to 3 white socket prismatics, but they are pricey and not really needed.


With no MF at all, you average about 3-4c just in splinters/currency doing a legion on a white map. Plus the occasional bonus big drop. All while getting gem xp, getting incubator kills. It's hard to not make currency.

Can you elaborate that ? Bronns give 2lvl to cyclone, 50% more dmg to cyclone, attack speed and even more attack speed.

So how chest with maim support and Attacks have #% to Critical Strike Chance can be better for dmg ? I'm asking that cuz i have 15ex and looking for a good part of my equipment to upgrade.

My gear btw

Currently leveling the champ version of this build on hardcore and I'm struggling to adjust the tree to get more than 202% life. Any clever ways to gear for more HP for red maps? I know there are several one-shot mechanics in Legion, as I've ripped a few times in the 90's now to random offscreen spears and such. Anyone else playing this on hardcore?

edit: How do we feel about Atziri's Acuity for this build and dropping the Vaal Pact node?

Build starting to come together in maps now I've got all my ascendancy points.
First time in a long time I've played anything 'Meta' though, forgot how expensive all the gear gets!
Not talking about the swords (I'm happy enough with what I'm using for now, and I expect GG swords to be expensive!) but any jewellery with a decent flat phys roll and int gets pricey, throw in life and crit multi/decent resists and its multiple ex.

Really need to get a new amulet though, currently gimping my ES with Daresso's salute.

I think you need to look up the difference between MORE and INCREASED. Bronn's overall is a 20% more damage chest, while a rare chest gives you 15% from maim + critchance, which is effectively 25% more damage.

I thought the crit chance in elder chest is useless if you choose slayer overwhelm?
