[3.5] Guffin's McSundae Strike | All Bosses Down | Fast and Safe Mapping | Skillchoices
" Hey mate, cool to see someone else try out the Build :) Sadly I can't see your Characters, but: You probably don't have a Mana Leech Node. Even a 0.4% Mana Leech Node is enough to sustain Mana, it has nothing to do with Regen. But that is clearly included in both the Levelling (0.4% Node), and the Endgame Trees (Soul Raker). Hope that fixes it for you :) " Sad to hear you are struggling mate ): No, you just don't have a Mana Leech Node. That's a simple fix, and it is clearly shown in all Tree Variants. Other than that: start using Reave in those Thunderfists OR go get Tombfist + a Shaped Innervate/Hypo Helmet already. Should be cheap now. Do NOT use Quicksilver Flasks, the Flasks I recommend are clearly explained. This is not a running Build. The Mana Flask should be obviously dropped as well now :P As you progress through maps, upgrade your Rares. Hope that gives you a point to start from :) " A always, makes me happy to see great progress :) Gz on that nice deal with the Statstick and the Belly Divine, that's some decent RNG :P As for your Upgrades: you got that all figured out. There's no ceiling for rares, you can always go higher. Just that good Steel Rings are usually hard to find in recent Leagues. Been not as popular for crafting I guess. I'd leave the dual Hatred Watchers Eye as one of the last things to upgrade to, it's usually suuuuper pricey and not that big of an Upgrade. Gl on the farm :) . I'm interested in trying this build out but I only have about 150c to my name right now. How far would that get me in terms of gear or should I not bother until I can pull together some 6ls? I do see the starter gear and at a glance it seems affordable but I remember trying a similar build before and feeling really squishy. I was hovering around 5.6k life and still getting randomly killed at times so it was generally un-fun constantly being on edge waiting for the next random death out of nowhere..
Tl;dr would 150c be enough to comfortably set this build up and should I be expecting random nukes every map/every other map? Thanks in advance for the answer. |

Quick question:
i see lot of players with Herald of Purity instead of Herald of Ice ... is the more physical damage + summoned monster (defensiv (?) maybe better than HoI? |
|
" Herald of Ice is the King for clearspeed/mapping. Purity adds nothing there. It is the best for Bosses tho, and I recommend it for Endgame Bosses ever since the Gem Details got released. It adds nothing for clear tho. " Hey mate, ty for the interest :) That's an interesting Question actually. As you can see in the Videos, I killed Uber Elder on a 60c Budget at the end of last League. Comparable Gear might cost more, or less, at different points in a League tho, so it's not safe to say "60c lets you kill Uber Elder". And I already had a levelled Character, so progression Gear wasn't included, and knew the fight pretty well. So I can confidently say you can tackle all content in the Game on a low Budget, BUT it requires proper Itemization. From my experience answering questions in this Guide for quite a while, many people fail with that. If you know what to look for and how to gear/are wiling to play around in PoB with different potential Items etc., you will manage. If that's nothing for you, or you are new to it, I'd say 150c are not enough to comfortably do everything. That said, I think if people read this Guide very carefully, and actually follow the trade Links and adapt them to their needs, it should be possible for most people. . Uber lab done with this build :)
Took very long time to find the last trial on maps. Now i can just relax and farm currency. After uber lab i bought 35% watcher's eye + cheapest offhand weapon ;) I will be swapping my tree to final one tomorrow. Cheers, very fun build to play. |

Hi !
I'm trying your build and struggling a bit, problem is the res stacking. It seems that I need to buy the 3 might of the meek (120c each :(( ) to be able to grab damage enhancing jewelry. Maybe I missed something ? I like the shattering explosions anyway but I seem to get stucked at this state of damage and being a bit slow on the maps above T6-8. Hope to read your advices when you have a bit of time ! :) Cheers ! |

" Yeah I'm somewhat new to the game so I don't really expect to go and no death uber elder my 2nd day playing this build or anything. I wasn't planning on capping out at 150c that's just my current available funds. My goal right now is just to have a comfortable mapping/delving char that doesn't randomly get throttled every map. The build I fell in love with after trying the build that was giving me random deaths is a high slow triple curse blight occultist and while it clears a bit slower its super safe to play which makes it alot more relaxing. I just wanted to try branching out and this build looks like something different and fun to try. Now that I'm awake more I see that this build's HC variant seems pretty bulky and from what I saw the damage was pretty good as well so I would consider aiming for more toward the HC tree if I try it. That said the Kaom's Heart will probably be really expensive but by the time I get to higher tier maps like that I should be able to afford it. Thank you for taking the time to answer though and nice build. o/ |

" Going to jump in here - you cannot do yellow maps with a 4l Reave like that - you need to either downgrade that Tombfist to a Thunderfist for the 5L reave, or you need to upgrade the helm as Guffin explains in the guide. You absolutely need at least that 5L. |
|
" Glad to hear that mate, gz on the progress :) Your Gear looks very fine right now, but I'd recommend giving Wasp Nest a spin. It will feel way smoother for mapping. Also, you gotta upgrade "Wrath Knuckle" next, but I think you know that :P Some things on your Tree: since you got your Uber Lab done, connect your Tree to the Ranger Start and unspec aaaaaaaall those points that connected from the Scion Start to the rest, like you see in the endgame Trees. Also, you are still connected on the left (1 Str Node, 1 Dex Node) to the Shadow Area, but connecting on the right next to the Claw Nodes (1 Dex Node) saves 1 Point. Hope you continue to enjoy the Buid, maybe I culd help a bit :) " Hey mate, cool to hear you are giving the Build a shot, but sucks to see that youre struggling a bit. A few general things: you need to get a pseudo link Helmet, like its explained in the "progression of gear" segment, to put your Reave into (like Perce79 already correctly said :P). That will boost your DPS in maps tremendously. Also, your Amulet and Rings are preeeetty bad :P If you follow the low budget Trade Links, you will find some affordable ones that have WED and other useful Stuff. You can open up one Gemsocket, maybe remove that "Added Fire", to fit in a Frost Bomb, which will be a huge DPS increase on Bosses. As for your Tree: you don't need a Mana Leech Node anymore, since you got Soul Raker now. That gives you enough Mana Leech on its own. So all in all I recommend upgrading some rares, fixing some Stuff on the Tree (and get your Uber Lab done!) The 5l Reave Helmet is really the most important to make mapping feels smooth. How did you miss that? Other than that, this Build gets way more Res passively than most other Builds. Even without Might of the Meek, we have 18% + 10% from the Scion Start, 8% from Shadow and 15% from Alira. The Rest has to come from Gear/Jewels, yes, but that is the case for almost every Build in PoE. Hope I could help you out a bit :) " Np mate, it's a pleasure (most of the time :P) :) Yes, the HC Version can be pretty tanky/carefree if you really build for it. That said, if you want a really relaxed playstyle, this Build might not be 100% for you. Like I say in the "Cons", it requires a faster playstyle than some other Builds, more micromanagement is required. Pianoing Flasks for 100% Uptime while mapping, managing Reave Stacks to keep them at 8 requires a fast pace, Placing Totems and Frostbomb, etc. etc. That's not for everyone. That said, in the HC Version I stray away from that a bit. And if you dislike the Micromanagemtn of Reave, you can just use a different Skill. Hope the Build is to your liking in the end, or that you could make it into something that suits your needs :) . Editado por útlima vez por Guffinn#6759 en 10 sept. 2018 17:06:00
