[2.2 Video Guide] Tanky, High DPS, Crit Blade Vortex Build [HC/SC & Atziri Viable]

Hey bro, could you advice me on my question? =|

Im lvl 83, following step by step your Guide!

"Hey bro!

I guess I won in the lottery today hehe

I got a Maligaro's Virtuosity... and used 1 VAAL ORB on it

aaaand

Maligaro's Virtuosity "Socketed gems are supported by lvl 12 Cast on Crit"

I was thinking, about "Power Charge on Critical" I could put it on the armor, and gonna activate already
and in the gloves i'll have some free slots to put some spells

You think thats a good idea?
Or what else could I do with this gloves using this build?"
I think necro hybrid witch may actually be the best choice for this build (on HC leagues at least).

Vaal pact + Ghost reaver.

I'm playing this as Pathfinder and while it's pretty cool, there is a major problem against bosses when they don't die in time and your flasks run out.
Almost ripped to Academy boss aswell, that shit just hurts.

As hybrid necro you pretty much facetank and insta leech back.

Also some con's for this build overall: you rely on Warlord's mark for leech, so yeah curse immune mobs are an issue, also is the leech quite low. Overall this build is awesome but it will never be as tanky as hybrid Vaal pact/Ghost reaver.
Nice build!

Hi guys,

thanks for the build! I started but I am thinking about restarting as a Hierophant and I want to share my ideas and hope for feedback.

What I really like about the build is, that it is fun as soon as you get vortex blade. I did not like the fact though, that only after 2 labyrinths you will get the first "cool" ascendancy points. Additionally, the 5% additional damage from berserker somehow put me off a little bit. So I thought, why not go Hierophant?

Comparison:

Ascendant:

bers: (40 str, 1 passive)
- 1.5% of Damage Leeched as Life
- 5% increased Damage taken
- 25% increased Attack and Cast Speed if you've taken a Savage Hit Recently
- 10% more Damage

pathfind: (40 dex, 1 passive)
- 50% increased Flask Charges gained
- 25% increased Damage during Flask effect
- 50% chance to avoid Freeze, Shock, Ignite and Bleed during Flask effect
- 4% reduced Elemental Damage taken during Flask effect

Hierophant:
- 10% increased max mana
- 20% increased mana regen rate

- +100 Mana
- 10% Damage from Mana before life

- 20% mana regen
- 10% increased aoe

- helmet : 20% elemental bypass
- gloves : 20% increased aoe
- boots : 2% lifeleech

- 20% increased mana regen
- 20% increased endurance charge duration
- 20% increased power charge duration

- 10% power charge on kill
- 25% endurance charge when getting power charge

In my opinion, the Hierophant looks really flexible concerning gear, as you can just put the vortex as 4l in boots for 2% lifeleech, no 6l required. The additional power charge setup might also be unneeded, when reaching 6 ascendancy points.

So how could that look in the skill tree?

Necro is definitely a nice choice as well. I agree.

You can easily use Lifesprigs all the way until Divinarius. They are just fine for the build. If you can only afford one Divinarius, then buy a cheap dagger with crit/spell damage for your offhand in the mean time.
hey nerd, would skyforth be a solid addition to this build?
also, would the inspired learning jewel be worth investing in?
