The game is literally balanced around instant logout as Chris has said. And that doesn't affect me how?

The giant damage spikes that most people hate are a direct result of this design decision. If I choose not to instantly logout, I will die far more than those who do.

Exactly this. But the people defending OP skills/items/mechanics or the aforementioned logout macro dont seem to get it. The game isn't balanced around using the lower end of the powerspectrum, its the opposite. Thus everyone who doesnt use upper end will be comparatively screwed.

I'm not so sure... this thread seems pretty full of people that get it. This is a pleasant surprise. Over 600 views and no dissenting argument so far.

So agree, example:

If you don't like to lose 1 day of leveling because a dumbfuck killed your chracter in HardCore with his character (in some unfair way, with a dedicated PK character highter level etc) then do not complain, this is the game mechanics...

If you watched the videos and the linked "Book o' Kills" with the screenshots of the thousands I killed, you'd know that I was not "higher level etc." Many of those fights were me against a team of 5 with me being the lowest level of the group. I was also known to bait in extremely high level characters by offering to pay them for bandit kills, then kill them. Might wanna check your facts there bud! :P

As a side note, your post actually supports my point. Bad mechanics that are nevertheless permitted should be removed (i.e. OP items, skills, logout macros, etc.)

Before I get accused of "crying" or whatever, I will reiterate - I happen to agree with OP. But I don't believe that people with dissenting views will be likely to share them here.

The first post of the thread was always going to be polarizing; either a few people disagreeing with you would be the first to respond, feel attacked, and be quite harsh when replying - or what we saw happen would occur; only those whose intelligence you didn't insult chose to participate.

You -more than probably- had a character with specific items and build designed for this task while people leveling did not.

Never forget that you ruined the playtime of many kitties doing this.
Bad mechanics should be removed AND the people abusing them should be punished...
