FYI, same thing was said for extra ele working with piety balls / megaera etc a long time ago on reddit by some guy who claimed he tested deeply too. They dont.

So according to your wording, if i hit a mob with incinerate, the damage of each CB stack should be zero per second, since incinerate deals no physical damage whatsoever.

Kasub said 'ele affixes and map mods', but he could have easily stated it for contingency. There are many dmg map mods. Any ele statuses will be applied on crit, it doesnt mean CB has ele dmg with it or scales off the ele dmg as OP in that thread stated.

I have my opinion, you have yours. Can you prove 100% this is so by delving into game files? No you cant. Or else prove me wrong by doing so.

CB is a bleed like puncture from players which works off of physical dmg of mainhand after all physical multipliers, CB is similar. I dont see how extra ele can affect it.

CB is physical, do you understand this? How can it scale off ele? That extra ele mod is usually extra on hit elemental dmg scaling off the physical, NOT the other way around. Like players hayred / added fire / herald of ash. Extra dmg / phys dmg is another story, as it increases the mainhand phys dmg which CB scales off. Do you see '% of ele added as phys' anywhere? These should be basic game mechanics for a lvl 91 RIPPED beyond scion... facepalm over 9000!

Google 'extra cold damage map piety' - i think it was temple. I dont have it saved, seen the topic ages ago. Everyone in there saying it worked, when it didnt.

That is irrelevant, the damage that CB does is calculated off the TOTAL main hand weapon damage, TOTAL includes elemental damage modifiers.

And yes, level 91 incinerator, i ripped to 100% extra damage as lightning CB rare bear buffed by another rare with substantially increased physical damage aura. I was sleepy and i didnt hit my pot in the half a second timeframe i had, my bad. Go figure.

And where did you and random joe at reddit get your info? Pls enlighten me, I am awaiting. Game file datamined info or dev post confirming it takes all monster's mainhand dmg including chaos or some element not even in the game yet and adds it as physical degen.

Yes, I will believe it because RandomJoeAtReddit said it. And he supposedly tested it, but forgot to omit numbers and data and videos, just proceeded to post a sentence saying it is so because he said so.

You cannot tell me you are absolutely correct because you do not have the proof.

If you are so narrow-minded that 2 entire reddit threads, and a handful of people in this thread, isnt enough to convince you, then i hope some GGG dev comes and confirms what everyone already knows.

I take my information from experience, my own and others, obviously.

I hope some day you will roll a fast hitting build so you can see for yourself, or just any mapping char you have (if you have any, im starting to doubt it), roll a couple of maps of the same level (so monster dmg is consistent across the maps) with extra ele dmg and search for CB rares.
