Elemental Buzzsaw & Static Strike - Solo the entire game, quickly and cheaply 1.1.0 update

Thanks for the quick passive tree update Mathil, you mentioned that it is now back to 1.0 glory do you mind to share the buzzsaw ST 6 or 5L gems? I know you are running HoT HoI wrath and anger for auras but what other utility gems u recommend? thanks in advance

Thanks Mathil, your passive tree is sweet and helpful. I had not play POE for a while. Maybe, you can consider shift 2 points to point blank and use elemental molten strike(lv1). It's also a lot of fun and more powerful than static strike.

Ok, I've specced out of the Soverignty mana cluster and dropped the Haste gem as I think it makes too many sacrifices in Int/Dex/Life to get it. It's still viable, but comparing DPS between that spec and the one below which is closer to Mathil's it's only ~200dps more and not worth the effort of going up there.

Instead I've taken Berserking and picked up some attack speed elsewhere, so all I'm missing is the runspeed boost from the gem aura.

I'm still using Lightning Coil and running PoL. The tree below allows me to run PoL, Wrath, Anger and HoI. If I can find a good evasion chest I might drop PoL to run HoT, but that again means compensating with better slightly better resists on gear.




For anyone wondering, gem setup:

Alphas - RRBB (Wrath, Anger, Reduced Mana, PoL) - this is a tough ask to roll though - RRBG is easier with Grace here instead if you're not running Lightning Coil.

Atziri Boots - RRBG (Reduced Mana, PoL, Herald of Ice, Herald of Thunder)

Shield - RRG (BM, Whirling Blades, Decoy Totem)

Gloves - CWDT setup

Is there any way someone could give a brief explanation of how to go about the leveling process with this build? The leveling skill trees are broken.

I can only assume to get life nodes when in doubt, get the big notables and keystones before the peripheral type stuff, but any tips would still be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Also how do you run Wrath with only 50 int on the tree?

With my sword Chromed, it frees up 4L, probably going with Vengeance + Faster Attacks + Melee Phys + Inc AoE

Update: 3 Chromes to RRGB my Alphas I bought... 13,283 DPS ATM. Need to still get the 3 nodes for PoL Swap.

I've decided to run with this passive tree and although I'm a few points short my DPS is up slightly from Mathil's original tree but my life is down a bit (although I specc'd more damage and will chase life nods now).

I just have a highish EVA 6L chest but am trying to get into a belly of the beast or try lightning coil down the track.

If I have a sword such as (or better by level ~95) would it be worth trading some of the Elemental Damage nodes to work into Crit/Crit Multi/Accuracy?

No.

There's a crit version of this build in the forum if you want to go that way, but you'll lose way more damage by dropping Resolute Technique out of this build than you'll pick up with 3 or 4 crit nodes.

Plus the sword is too slow - you need one above 2.0 speed at minimum, especially at higher levels. Also a physical damage mod on the sword is wasted, this build does almost no physical damage.
