Farming Uniques (Need guidance from the pros)

Is there still that bug with reaper's pursuit (/culling strike) affecting drop rate? There are a lot of other threads about it where people are using it and not getting much luck with item drops.

Apparently they fixed it, but it might be worth trying a different weapon (maybe with an increased accuracy gem to make up for the fact you'll miss more!) to see if you get a better drop rate of items.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

You are technically still wrong. 450% increased rarity is 0.055

Because the equation is actually (Original Chance) + (Original Chance * Increased Chance)

Otherwise 10% increased rarity would mean you have 90% reduced rarity chance.
i dont know where you learned math but with a 10% IIR your chance would be multiplied by 1.1

...........

I also want to stress the fact that IIQ is JUST AS IMPORTANT IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT than IIR for unique farming.

more equipment drops = more chances at uniques.

do solaris lvl 3. kill the 3 super uniques. tp and start over

if you can get to a point where you can farm this efficiently you will get alot more uniques than in docks. a run will take a few minutes maximum, sometimes less than 30 sec

give it a try, pretty hard compared to many other areas, but the 3 easily found bosses and the occasional large chest made this well worth running on my char (380~ iir, 75~ iiq)

More uniques you can add to your farm path the better. I can confirm that Kole, that lightning strike unique in lunaris lvl 3, and piety is a great path to run for farming both exp and drops.

This. ~100 IIQ seems to be key and more important than breaking 300 IIR. Until the better tier IIQ/IIR comes out, I cannot do any testing with ~100 IIQ and ~300 IIR as I won't be a) upgrading my gear with this current softcore economy laughuation and/or I refuse to farm with 'low life'.

Thanks for the insight guys. I shall try the new suggested paths/ MF combinations and report back!

That pretty much sums up why I have no motivation to play. In fact I went from playing hours a day to logging in for 5 min once a week.

Gimping my dps by stacking rarity and quantity is counter productive, and painfully slow. Then there's the fact that you need BUT TONS to see an effect, which is marginal at best.

chance at a unique dropping is what? maybe .01? I dont really know. But with 450% IIR

you get a .045 chance

IIR makes a difference for framing uniques but it's not a night and day sort of difference

Does that mean that rarity is an empty function? a haox if you will?

No, you should average about 1 - 2 rares per rare mob and a boss kill should give you more rares than you can carry. As for Uniques patience is advised.

I had 4 Uniques in my Stash before rarity farming and a full stash tab after a weak.

It was fixed.
In Diablo 2 there was no level penalty like there is in POE. In D2 and POE people are multiboxing letting them control 4-6 characters at the same time which increases drops just because of the number of players in the area.

Sense there is a level penalty I don't know if we should really trust "For the purposes of this penalty, your level is never considered to be higher than 68. Therefore a level 75 character receives no penalty in a level 66 area." But even if we do we are still taking a penalty at the docks.
