[3.7] 2H Cyclone Slayer - Crit, Pure Phys - All Content

For those that are having issues with survivability, Bloodletting is a nice 5% less dmg taken from bleeding enemies. Though maybe those 3/4 points are worth the same as more life.

Actually, if someone could answer that, that would awesome lmao.

Another question, is it better to go for MoTE first, or to try to add infused channelling in and remove aspect of the spider?

If i'm reading it right, infused adds ~15% in blood, but loses ~13% in sand? If so, spider vs infused pretty much is even - one is better in boss and other is better mapping by the same amount. And with the added intel required on items, and the second -mana roll, seems like not that worth it? Spider would be more flexible in terms of items, and can also have more "random" stats added in.
You can have infused channeling and aspect of the spider at the same time, my comparison was between flesh & stone and aspect of the spider.
Spider is more flexible (which is why I recommend it), but has less peak DPS in blood stance.

Do you have a list of watcher eye mods in order of dps?

the cheap link shows alot of results, no idea which is better or not. I assume the precision one with flask charges is probably the weakest one.

And the recommended pride one with "impale gives extra hits" is the highest dps? However that one costs 9.5 ex and way too expensive for me.
The best ones are double damage, intimidate (if your lethal pride doesn't have it) and attack damage AFAIK.
The flask charge one is actually really good even though it doesn't increase your DPS.

Pretty sure the Watcher's eye is not worth getting unless you're getting the "impale gets extra hits while using pride". I'd suggest using an alternative like rare jewel that gives 7% increased max life, 8% increased attack speed with axes (or two handed weapons), and one (maybe two) more things if you can find. Like extra attack speed mod, or extra global crit multiplier %.
Depends on your budget, the Attack Damage and Double Damage Watcher's Eyes are actually still much better than what a rare can give you.

From my PoB:

Standard config:
6964 life and 24% damage reduction (fortify)
--> 6964/(1-0.24) = 9163 effective life

After swapping three 4% life nodes for Bloodletting:
6687 life and 29% damage reduction (fort + bloodletting)
--> 6687/(1-0.29) = 9418 effective life

It's a bit better if you assume every enemy is bleeding and you already have a way to make them bleed.
If it's only against dots (no fortify), the effective life ends up about the same.

These bring a tear to my eye.
Question here - Looking to get a crafted exblade with the exact mods listed in the crafting section, but my PoB is somehow saying this would be a 7% dps loss over my 6L starforge.

I have a 685pdps starforge, and I'm comparing it to the ~450pdps exquisite blades. What up with this? Am I choosing the wrong options in PoB? I think I mostly have everything accounted for.

EDIT: I actually opened up Shep's PoB and put in a 685 dps starforge, and that brought his damage down. More confused now.

EDIT 2: I figured it out. With the new fortify weapon, I forgot to add the extra impale gem. Lol. Mystery solved, exquisite blade is better.

A very long postCongrats, my dude. Bosses are the hardest when you've never done them before.
You can now finally play the game. ;)

Lol, let's say I was a bit happy. Have killed the big guy 3 more times since. I'd like a watcher's eye, though, just for the thrill to id it.

Thanks for your feedback, it was very valuable, even if I had to farm alot to bank enough currency for some trade. Bought a nice sword (MORE DPS, yeah !), a ring with AMOH and a nice talisman that gives me free endurance charges (which is very cool).

And of course a Glorious Vanity, which gives me 3% Movement speed and attack speed (good !).

Sitting at around 4.7 million DPS with buffs on. 5.5 if I had Blood rage on (but I'm waiting for a CWDT to increase in level, I'm not very good at activating Blood rage manually.

Edit : Did Atziri in a 83 temple. A breeze now. Uber Atziri fell next, at last (Steam Challenge, yeah !).

Would probably go for an Impale Watcher's eye or Kaom's corruption, they're both rather expensive.

Make sure your Cyclone supports and Blood Rage have 20% quality.

Yeah, I got the double damage pretty cheap. Thanks for the input, will work on the quality now.

Is it worth trying to double corrupt my cyclone or should I just try vaal orbing for a 21/20?

Ok got my MotE, quite expensive to make the (other) ring to support it (Mark and -mana).

What's next?

I get itimidate from my watcher's eye.
Lethal pride gives 5% str, 20% armor, 10% fort, 20% melee
Tempered flesh not upgraded yet, but the extra 2.5ex for 4% phy reduction doesnt seem worth it? My amulet already gives me makeshift endurance charges already.
