Would you still go Vaal Pact with Occu? Perhaps going for the quick recharge start nodes is more efficient?

" Of course, i would say that leech build without VP is... not a leech build :) The build is about tanking standing still. Quick recharge is useless in that case. Even though occ have their own "mini vaal discipline", i can't picture it as something that can compete with vaal pact here. Don't forget that major part of our defences only works with standing still. But yeah, ascendant have so much more leisury to get to VP than other options... Hype What i didn't get is ... do we cold dmg over time with Winter Orb? And if so, r Efficacy a thing? And then, Hypothermia is double buff? Chill Area -> DoT ? |

" No, we don't. Cold damage over time is, for example, vortex. Normal chill still doesn't do any damage. |

can you post your experimental PoB links that you compared before. I want to see your occultist's tree, and how much int difference it have with ascendant. Please. |

The problem with Occultist and Vaal Pact is actually getting to it. It's gonna take a lot of points and not gonna be nowhere near as convenient as it was with Scion.

This is the best Occultist tree I could come up with. I imported the gear from Kelvynn's character because I wanted to check just how much of a change going to Occultist would be. The thing that really sucks about this are the 3 wasted passives around the Scion evasion wheel but it's the absolute shortest way to get to Vaal Pact. Ended up with around 100 int less, so not too bad for the added tankiness. Gonna be even less once we take one ring off to replace it with Malachai's Artifice but having perma EE should more than make up for that. edit: http://poeurl.com/b925 This is another option.
