Great advice guys! Yes proj weakness will usually always be more damage than any other curse. However, I just feel like for this skill it's a bit inefficient to use.

You are not attacking with the weapon, so ele pen on that is useless. Not sure if hits can't be evaded applies to SST or not. If it does work, it will work until you can afford a decent Shaped item. But something with crit, 20ish% cold conversion, and 1 or 2 other random mods should only be worth 5-20 chaos and will beat that out by a lot. Less if you change it to 1 count and get something you can craft on.

I don't use POB very often (should probably change that), but don't forget the burn damage from Herald of Ash overkill. Saves from double casting on groups with really low HP mobs after first cast.

As for conversion, I want to say physical beats it out for physical-based skills like SST. We don't do 100% ele, so at least 10% is physical that is unaffected. We also use skills like Hatred and Herald of Ash that are based off our physical dmg, not our WED. That being said, there is a balancing act because in some cases getting 30% WED is much easier than 30% physical dmg. There is math out there somewhere that compares a Tier X roll of # to # physical dmg to attacks that equates to Y % WED to give you an idea of the impact of physical dmg to this build. Which is also why high armor shields are so expensive because of how much dmg they add to the build.

For the Watcher's Eye gem, is it only worth it if it has both the crit and the conversion? Or is the conversion alone just fine for now (the one with both in league is 3 mirror so RIP). Is the gem that important or would I be better off spending it on upgrading rings/ammy's/shield ?

For the helmet enchant, is the Ancestral Protector 18% attack speed better or Spectral Shield Throw damage better?

I would prioritize global crit first because you can always wear hrimburn and cover res on other gear or jewels.

For mapping


And actually extra projectiles is better for mapping than damage I just haven't gotten it yet.

I don't have anywhere near your wealth in the game to attempt that much meta crafting hahaha. Just yolo-ed it.

Would have been a shorter and simpler thread to jsut say SST is bad stay the hell away.
