AMD cards sucking with PoE shouldent be news to anyone

been that way for some time

AMD GPU user since years, no problems whatsoever. You Nvidia fanboys amuse me every day. :) I always wondered what benefit you have, by talking bad about a company?

Benefit? It's bad experience with their crap.

I'm never changing back from intel/nvidia to AMD.
You just wasted 3 seconds reading this.

What kind of nonsense is this? I've been using AMD / ATI cards all my life (the only exception was nv 8800GT). Been playing DX11 since they released it into beta.

PoE works just fine on them. I experienced few crashes since 3.0 and it's tied to way how you run your PoE. My crashes happened only if I was using windowed fullscreen, if I used any other (fullscreen or normal windowed) ways how to run game, it runs without any problems. This seems to be fixed after last patch, I'm again running fullscreen windowed and client works just fine.

I have 0 performance problems and occasionally I experiencedonly minor crashes, basically whole Legacy league, I had to relog out to login screen before selecting other character, as game client crashed nearly always when I clicked Logout to character selection, but that's about it (3.0 fixed this issue).

But always update drivers when new patch is released, that can make difference.
Windows 10 64 bit, Geforce 1080, intel 7700k.

Can't use Directx 11 because atleast once per day im getting crash. With Directx 9 everything is ok.

Im fking tired of loosing my portal in Beachhead maps.

Playing with a GTX 980 and DX11 - could count the number of crashes I've had on one hand.

I'm wondering if the people crashing a lot with a good card are overclocking by a lot?
"You want it to be one way, but it's the other way"
No overclock at all, all stock, never crashed in path of exile until this patch, and i have thousands of hours played.
PoE has always been crash happy for me. Average 1 crash per 3 hrs of play.

In some spots in the game, it was a coin toss whether I managed to get through a long section without WPs, without crashing. The most OP foe imaginable was the game crashing on me.

During 90% of the crashes, there were tons of particle effects going off on the screen, and ragdoll physics from the bodies. It's been known for awhile that PoE's particle effects use way too much resources. Blizzard was able to do particle effects in D3, make them look good without them being resource hogs.

Stop with the fanboyism and slander. AMD cards still work fine for any other triple A title.

I have almost everything overclocked and i dont experience any crashes anymore in DX11. I had a couple during the first week together with the weird bug reports after closing the game but it seems to be fixed for me since around 2 weeks now.
