Hi!

due to a mistake during my reading of a craft guide and an idiotic, yet lucky, decision, I got myself this little fellow:



Considering that it has got only 5 links and that 6-linking it would cost approx. 1000 fusings that as of yet I do not have, but might be able to gather via trading, is it adviseable to 6 link it? By that I mean: will it's worth after 6-linking it offset the investment of a 1000 fusings?

That all depends on what the fusing to exalt ratio is and what the price is of similar bows is on the market.

This is how I figure out whether I should 6L something, or buy the 6L.

I take the fusing to exalt ratio, and figure out how many exalts 1250 fusings is (which is roughly the expected amount of fusings you will need to spend). Then I see what the item is worth, already 6L'd, and make my decision.

For example, when I bought my bow a couple weeks into Perandus, fuses were 105:1ex, meaning the 6L expectation would be equivalent to 11.9ex. The bow I purchased was available for... 8ex, I think? So I just bought mine.

That said, your bow is a Maraketh with high dual resistances. I doubt anything similar is going to be available for cheap. I would probably 6L that myself on the sheer basis of the res balance.

I'd six link that for sure. There's nothing on the market as good. If you're still using it as your primary weapon, I'd be tempted to save the 1500 required to 6L it at the bench instead of random.

Thanks for the wicked build and all the advice, Serleth. Not many threads I've read through 367 pages of and found most of it worthwhile.

Gear is still the same as the last time I posted, but since then I've knocked out all 40 challenges, level 94, level capped my masters, and I have 13ex pure in the bank plus another 50ex in goods and lower level currencies.

All this while taking a 10 day break for a vacation in the middle of the league to take the family to Disneyland.

This build rocks. I've paired with a bunch of folks to run maps, and with 25k tooltip, I'm easily holding my own against single target builds with orders of magnitude higher dps.

I'm legitimately impressed you've read through 367 pages.

Thanks for your opinions on that matter. I will 6l it, though i probably won't be able to afford that in the remaining two or three weeks of this league.

Path of the Ranger incoming.

NOT back to Ranger.

Two more Ascendency points allows us to get "Path of the Ranger" after we grab Deadeye. Gives us +1 passive point, and the ability to allocate passives from Ranger start. Net gain will be at least 2 passive points, I'll have to do some planning.

Chaos nerf (as far as we know) is for chaos CONVERSION, not chaos damage in general. So we should be fine.
