As a new player, i would like to thank you!
My first exile was a Minion summoner, i really enjoyed it, i gathered some currency and played the game first so i could slowly adjust myself into the game, a big learning curve for someone new to these style of games.
This Guide is well written, explained & step-by-step guided, i have been looking for a guide like this for the past 3 days that tells me what to do rather than a guide that just waffles on about a level 70 item that i need in the future and a gem i can't use.
So i thank you, i will be using this guide and i am looking forward to it!

What I did to open up sockets is use 2 staves, just switch weapons between Arc and Ball Lightning.
The added benefit of this is that a 5L pledge is way cheaper than a 6L inpulsa while being better (lvl30 spell vs 21 max on inpulsa). That also allows you to focus on getting good stats on your inpulsa rather than links.

You need to get the timing down at first because you can't switch weapons while casting, but once you're used to it it's really no bother and the switch is instant.

ENKI, excellent easy to follow guide, thanks! Starting low tier maps and do not feel as powerful as I might like. Was hoping you could take a look at _mywitch_? Also to add, what gear type am i looking for while levelling? Like %life, %Armour? I am still learning and struggling to find it in the guide,

Nice build you've got here. Going to change my old witch into this one and see how its going. Any leveling unique gear advice to give? I've collected something along me journeys :) Was wondering how far Tabula will go, since it is without any stats.

@BolbyCrooks: I would only do that if you have a Watchers Eye with Wrath Mana Leech mod, otherwise you will most likely get issues sustaining your mana against high tier bosses.

There's an example Lv90 tree in the Path of Building code you can orientate on. I've intentionally left endgame trees out so people can make their own choices based on all options and learn about opportunity cost, one of the biggest things in this game.

I've actually tried a 1H + Shield version this league, it's not that bad but it pretty much requires to use Fevered Mind all the time, which together with a 6L Ball Lightning setup can hurt on bosses.
Trudorc's suggestion is a good alternative, something i've seen a few people use successfully. I'll try to incorporate it into the guide if i find a way to do so without breaking the 10k character limit.

@NaTsky_UK: Hey there, thanks! All you really need is life and resistances, or go for the uniques mentioned under the General Advices while Leveling spoiler.

@oguzhandzg: Please make your character tab public, it's currently hidden.

@HQNewPlayer: There's a few things you should do. First thing is flasks, switch over to the recommended flask setup, it will be more beneficial than just many life flasks.

Next thing is your gem setup, you're still using Warlord's Mark on Blasphemy while also missing the mana nodes behind Mind over Matter, this greatly hurts your survivability.

Gear has some low liferolls and jewels aren't great, you should be able to upgrade pretty much everything except staff and chest for very cheap.

@tanaceleb: Thanks! Leveling uniques are pretty much the basic setup for casters, 1-2 Lifesprigs for your spells, Goldrim and Wanderlust. Once there are enough supports to use (around the end of Act 3 usually) you can put your spells into Tabula and use a Kite Shield for easier resistance capping.
This should last you all the way into maps, just keep life and resistances up through all other slots.

Can't really see anything horribly wrong there, only things i've noticed are the missing Basalt Flask and the three nodes behind Mind over Matter. If you do these small changes you're on a good way.

If you want to upgrade your gear sometime in the future start with a Pledge of Hands and Inpulsas, then the unique jewelry which probably would require more upgrades to stay res capped.
