Yep, that's how you'd have to do it, or skip Kitava's completely and selfcast Bone Offering.
Switch Spell Echo with Greater Multiple Projectiles for Storm Burst, and if Slower Projectiles feels bad that with Added Lightning Damage.

Could anyone please explain how I should be using desecrate + bone offering? Should it be linked with cast when damage taken support gem?

Edit: I am level 40 in act 4 and I have taken mistress of sacrifice, I do not have a cwdt gem yet.

Hey there, link Desecrate to CwDt and keep them both low level. Bone Offering doesn't need to be linked since you want to selfcast it on demand.

So, I was wondering a little bit, what if I used Storm Burst for both single target and clearing skill? I would self-cast Bone Offering but it would free the Staff slot giving us the option for using a shield, giving us more block chance and access to Shield Charge and maybe a Doryani's Catalyst to make our damage hit harder? What do you think about it? And if viable, which change to the Passive Tree could be done and which advices would you give? Thanks in advance again, and sorry for the bothers.

@snorran: I'm using Kitava's Thirst to automatically proc it, which is why i don't need it in the skillbar.

@burnmyrique: All i can say is probably, give it a try. Personally i didn't like the feel of Storm Burst, with Inpulsa's it might be ok for clearing but you just gotta try and figure out for yourself if you like the skill.

Hi, complete new guy here. I'm planning to start playing this game in a few weeks, when I have the time to do so, but I'm already reading up on some guides and info about the game. Currently, playing a witch with your build looks like it will be my choice. :)

I do have one question already though. Most guides on witches I've read, suggest beginners to help Alira in Act2 for the mana regen and the elemental resistances. Why do you decide to kill them all? Are the two passive skill points that much better than the survivability you get from the resistances?

Hey there! Resistances are easy to cap through gear while the stats two additional passives can grant aren't always as easy to get. And technically, if you really need those resistances you can spend the two points on a jewel socket and socket one with resistances plus other stats, which in the end will be more beneficial.

Hello Enki! Thank you for your guide, level 50s on Xbox now as a first time player and it's been very helpful.

Two questions.

1. Your Immortal has a base .4 second duration whenever Cast on Damage is triggered right? What % of uptime during taking damage is that? I imagine there's a cooldown between Cast on Damage triggers, so I'm curious how impactful this .4 second duration is.

2. I tried to mimic your Kitava set-up using Cast on Damage, Desecrate, Bone Offering and Conductivity all below lvl 40 req. But I haven't really noticed being significantly tankier.

Wondering if it's because I need to manually cast Bone Offering for the right times and with multiple corpses from multiple desecrate triggers, but that's not what you're getting from Kitava...
I also noticed that your set-up for Kitava doesn't follow the normal order for Cast on Damage, I don't know if Kitava follows a different trigger order, but your desecrate would trigger after your Bone Offering right?

I'm also considering that the immortality I was expecting after getting Bone Offering with Ascendancy was a bit silly :D
