[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses
I read the guide a couple of times, and looked through the last few pages of replies, but still don't get the Innervate link.
Herald of Thunder Cannot Apply Shock. Does Innervate override this? Wouldn't it be easier and more DPS to just use a Added Lightning Damage gem? (I'm also thinking a 2nd Curse would be awesome, but I don't have enough resistance yet to be able to spare a ring slot for the +1 curse ring) |

What is the path of building for the original build? I don't see the listing in the write up.

" It can't shock because it doesn't crit as I understand it. Crits with lightning damage can shock, like crits can chill/ignite with the right element damage. Innervate: Wiki says about it: Supported Skills have 20% chance to Shock. So it should be possible to shock enemies with HoT - just without crits (at least in theory). Sure you can test this with a cheap helmet and running some lower content. Added Lightning damage - very good on Bow - beats Faster Projectiles for me and similar to Slower Projectiles. Don't know if it works at all. Don't see anything in PoB. However the damage from heralds is low the utility/curse is what makes them great. |

" Still a noob but my explanation (correct me if I'm wrong) is this: Reach seems to be not so popular (which is reflected in prices) and it is not recommend in OP - but Reach is still a decent bow and lower prices are also nice, if you are not in the "final endgame". Highest pDPS for Reach I can find on trade is 288 pDPS. Lionseye 360 pDPS. 360/288 -> 25% DPS more from Lioneyes -2 projectiles. 7 vs 5 Projectiles = 7/5=40% -> So Reach can be better at this point. That is ignoring that Lioneys has Far Shot and 100% Accuracy (saving you a couple of slots on other items). Reach has however 6% crit and Lioneys 5%. This will go down if you get +projectiles on helmet. With +2 Helmet it will be 9/7= ~28,x% more from Reach. With 10/8 their damage is the same but you lose Far Shot and 100% Accuracy and 1% more local crit chance. There might be also a reason that +% base damage is better than +% damage from more projectiles or otherwise - dunno. Harbinger Bows can have 400+ pDPS and double crit chance (~8,5%+). Doomfletch has insane damage from conversion if you can get +flat damage on all items. Death Opus is also an option but only 205pDPS max on trade. If you switch Bows, Reach may be very decent for farming with TS (more projectiles are better for farming I guess and relativly cheap option). Then switch to Harbinger/Lion with Barrage on bosses. Maybe pierce can help with reach too (drillneck?). Most buildguides rely on Uber Atziri and Shaper kills and are based on 20+ ex. So they recommend other bows. IMO a good Reach of the Council should be a decent Bow, when you start mapping. There are some 5l 260 pDPS Reach Bows on trade that sell for less than 50 chaos. Seems pretty ok - IMO. |

" Thank you!! I'll give these a try, especially the Leech nodes, that will certainly help. As-is, Ive picked up a few gear items putting my Life pool just shy of 4k. |

Never sink mentions in 3.0 changes that Vaal Pact is no more, yet in his First Tree he selects Vaal Pact, so do we pick it or ignore?
Also, I'm running 6 link lionseye with Elemental Weakness /w Attacks, I'm assuming this is a curse so there's no point in running Warlords or Assassins then? Since it won't reply? Thanks for the answers! |

I just had a massive damage boost adding in a Lev1 Herald of Thunder + Lev1 Innervate, so its definitely applying Shock now.
Essense Worm Unset Ring lets me use: Hatred - 0% Reserve Herald of Ice + Ice Bite + Curse on Hit + Assassin's Mark Herald of Thunder + Innervate Anything else I could link into HoT+I? would Onslaught work perhaps? ;) Edit: Onslaught no work, the buff only applies if the HoT AOE thunder makes the kill :( I've got a spare 4L with nothing in it. Is there any benefit to having a second CWDT/IC/ID stack, maybe level CWDT once so the damage trigger is slightly offset? Would that even work? Alternatively, should I look at a different CWDT group perhaps? Ball Lightning+Blind+GMP? Editado por útlima vez por MushaConvoy#7927 en 25 oct. 2017 5:20:47

"Hardcore - You absolutely can play a HC version of that build, but you'll have to sacrifice some damage and utility."
Can someone tell me what to change beside the helmet? Any other HC advice will be welcome. Thanks! |

Are we supposed to use Vaal pact or not? Anyone know? Neversink posted very conflitcting information. @Neversink
