Can someone tell me what to change beside the helmet?

Any other HC advice will be welcome.

Thanks!

I died a fair bit early on, especially during the campaign. Some of those bosses are just nasty. Currently level 84, max resists, 4K life, Starkonja hat, and I was using Warlords Mark. I've only just started to feel more reliable now with the extra Leech adjustments from some total champion a few posts above and got hold of a Queen of the Forest chestpiece, but even with all that evasion, there are some pretty close calls due to the low life pool.

For HC I would say you absolutely must invest in the Kaoms Heart chest... for me thats too rich for my blood, but to get you above the 4k life mark, you'd want that.

Thats just my 2c (chaos right?), if I was looking at hardcore again I'd go someone with more life...........

Are we supposed to use Vaal pact or not? Anyone know? Neversink posted very conflitcting information. @Neversink

I absolutely use Vaal Pact, without it, Leech is far too slow at regeneration (I tried it....). With Pact, life is almost instantaneous.
Would someone be so kind to check my profile and make any recommendations? This is my character from the last season that I'm hoping to kill the shaper/atziri with before the next season.

I'm starting red maps and have been able to clear a couple (as long as no reflect), but it's getting a bit harrowing. Not even exactly sure where my next upgrades should be, but currently hoping for a better helm/chest worth 100+ HP.
Hey Everyone I need a little bit of help! First off thank you @Neversink for this amazing Guide. Currently I have a level 86 Raider Ranger that can clear up to tier 15's sheet damage is 22k unbuffed for TS, but I take way too much damage and get one shot a lot. My Skill Tree is the same as Neversinks 1st Build minus Vaal Pact, I don't know if I'm supposed to spec into it, he's not clear.

Currently I have 3381 Health, and 19k Evasion.

Gear - Rats Nest 4L
Queen of the Forest 6s4L
Lionseye Glare Bow - 6S6L
Carnage Heart Amulet
2x Two Stone Rings for Capped Res
Doryani's Invitation Belt
Maligaros Virtuosity Gloves 4L
Rare Boot /w Res and 30% MF and Speed 4L

For Lionseye I have TS-GMP-PPAD-PhytoLight-Elemental Damage /w Attacks-Faster Attacks all Linked.

Rats Nest - I have CWDT-ID-IC Linked.

Now I need help with the rest? Which curse do I use? Also I have Faster Attacks-Blink Arrow Linked & Decoy Totem-Totem Resist Linked.

I don't know which curse to use with a CoH application. Currently I don't have HoT/Hatred linked to anything, I have about 4 skill spots left open, any advice to make me less squishy would be appreciated! Thank you all! @Neversink

Other skills I use, that aren't linked to anything.. Hatred / Ice Golem / Frenzy / HoT / Portal / Enduring Cry

I don't know if I should use a secondary attack, and I don't know if/how to set up a CoH link.

You have to many uniques - so very low life. Switch belt and gloves to rares. Those are more suited for Kaom chest setup, where you have a lot of life. Amulett too. You probably do very low physical damage - so carnage heart is no big help at all.

Rats Nest to Starkojas - 90+ Life and 2 defense effects (reduced damage and more evasion when on low life) - just a little bit less crit than Rats.

CoH - a typical chain would be CoH-HoI-Assassins-Ice Bite. HoT with innervate is also discussed here and some other curses like elemental weakness or Projectile weakness are mentioned in OP. Note you can have just one curse active on enemies.

Ice golem - I've seen that some recommend to put it in a chain with CTWD - so you don't have to recast it that often manually. However you want to keep CTWD very low (level 2-3) - but it can't sustain a high level Ice Golem then. Unless CTWD triggers he will be off too.

Have IG at 20/20 (got it from a prophecy) and also some support gem there with adds another 8 quality - but that isn't needed . Ice golem can survive enough at 20/20 - only with harbingers and bosses I have to recast him sometimes. He can be used to tank the boss + decoy totem so I can keep distance (which would also work with you Lion Bow very well).

If you wanna keep QotF - you'll need 90+ Life on all slots (except bow). Maybe even more. So good rares have high life + strength and then the user needed stats.

2nd attack: Barrage for Bosses. Even 4 link is strong. Either chest - or second bow. Bought a Reach bow - 270 pDPS 5L for 30c and I currently switch with X (which is a little bit annoying) - 5L/6l chest would be better - but they cost way more.
Hi there, I am a bit confused, i am new to ge game more or less.
The Post talks about MANA and to use the skill Spirit Void for that matter, but then at the skill tree it provides he is not using Spirit Void at all. So what should I do?

Don't bother to much about the tree or items while leveling. Things change with progress. Follow the general tree directions of this build - but if you have a problem with Mana - take a mana node that is near your tree.

I used Druidic Rite while leveling. And also 2 Manaflasks. They are very good in early game. Later I took spirit void. Then removed it when I didn't need it anymore.

You can't really ruin your char unless you completly ignore the tree/build and take bad passives that won't work with the build at all. Even then it could be fixed, it would just cost more.

You can change the tree later. I think you get 8(?) refunds from campaign and you can buy later regret orbs which aren't expensive. They cost 1 chaos or so and you will have a lot of them.

So play the game, look for what you need. If you need more mana - use more mana flasks or if this isn't enough take a mana node near your tree. Most build guides are aimed for endgame and need a lot of currency and rely on several lategame synergies. This is different early on.

It is IMO better to work with what you have than to copy a 90+ tree, that relies on certain uniques, 6 links, passives and so on. Changing the tree is even needed. Early on those projectile nodes are good. You can remove them later because there is better stuff. Changing the tree is part of the game.
could this build do uber lab in ssf? I want to try out TS ranger but figure in ssf need a class that can get all points from lab.

Thank you so much, i will do that.
Ive been playing around with some gem combinations...

Herald of Ice - Ive got my Curse setup here, so left it pretty much as-is. Easy enough to take this to 20.

Herald of Thunder - Fairly low level due to my Int, but wanted something more than just Innervate. Thought Onslaught would be great but only triggers if HoT's secondary makes the kill. Trying it with Blind.

CWDT #1 - IC/ID, usual suspects. Tried adding in Blood Rage which worked real nice so long as there were things to kill :( Had to take it out.

CWDT #2 - Ball Lightning. Using with GMP to cover a greater area as damage isn't the priority here. Using with Chance to Flee instead as Blind is on the Herald.

Any other crazy setups for Herald or CWDT thats worth trying?
