He mentions somewhere on how much leech you have on gear. IMO it is needed.
So 2 basic options here:
1. Take the ll nodes near Spirit Void.
2. Get a Lionseyes jewel and slot below the claws tree (turns melee skills into bow skills). Then get Soul Raker from claws). Remove Heavy draw tree for it. Got more DPS from it and Lifeleech + Manaleech (so you can regret the mana leech point too). It is expensive though ~140 chaos.
LL depends also on your damage with Vaal pact. So with uber items you might just go without out it. Blooddrinker is in there (so 0,4% ll) and Atziris Promise adds LL too.

Nah, you are right and the 1.6% leech from the claw nodes + blood drinker are way more reliable.

Let's say we are getting 1.5 million dps with barrage + good gear. That's around 6k leeched..with blooddrinker only - maybe 10k with atziri's promise - on a boss. That's way too little because of the barrage targeting/occasional miss streaks/ not critting.
Even the difference between 1.6% and 1.6% + vinktars leech is very significant.

For TS and mediocre gear it's even worse. To a point where you may not reach the Non-VP leechcap if things go wrong.

Yugul + Solaris/Lunaris are the most common choices for attack builds. The flask pantheon for labtraps.

youve mentioned the "Spirit Void" cluster in your guide @ the mana section. But dont use that in your skill tree at all.
I am somewhat early with lvl42 Ranger, but got massive mana problems already. And used like you recommended only one mana leech node.

What is the right way to go then?

TLDR nobody replicates the endgametree 1:1 while leveling, that's what the respec points are for.

Forgot that recommended Blood Rage adds also 1,2% LL.

I didn't use Blood Rage because it killed me while leveling. Especially as beginner if you are not speedrunning through content and stop for every gibberish to pick it up - felt unplayable to me.

So I took the LL nodes and Spirit Void.

The setup is optional btw. and you can use the standard HOI-setup instead (2b2g).

Look at the setups used in other bow guides as a better reference compared to this.

@Kindergar1en: yeah still..VP + blood rage isn't exaclty a smooth combo and every kind of degen maps + longer boss fights will become really annoying very soon. I don't like it.

Can't say. I'm using it right now with HoI. PoB shows no difference when I drop ele weakness.
Not sure if it works at all.

Assasins Marks works - as you can see from the power charges. One Problem with HoT is also that it needs Int. Have 104 and don't need more. Currently wasting a +30 Int skillpoint. HoI scales with Dex, so you can have it 20 easily and those scatters are great.

Innervate and stunned config in PoB Config adds huge damage in PoB for me though. From 47k to 67k! So this might be really good. Dunno.

Edit: For HoI setup with Assasins - use Ice Bite support. It works.
