Why no one is playing Path of Exile, from a concerned fan.

Also these incessant Chicken Little posts rely on the appeal to popularity, or bandwagon logical fallacy. "Since no one's playing, we should all just quit."

Either as an attempt to persuade others to stop playing since teh gaem iz ded, or as an attempt to manipulate GGG by threatening the death of the game if they don't make the right balance decisions to appease the masses.

Steam charts show near 30k players max over the last 30 days, there is as much ore more on stand alone, this is near double the amount from last year.

And as per temp leagues, new one starts, you get an influx and it slowly looses players come the end of it, only for them to come back for the next new temp league.

Been playing for over 4 years in hc, hc leagues and ssf-hc. Never once got to see Shaper, Counsel, Rigwald, Breachlords, Atziri(one attempt and ripd), or any other so called ''endgame'' content. I've had multiple chars in the upper 80's to 91. Ive never finished a full 8 point ascendency. I do not consider myself to be a casual player but It is weird how I can get one char going for weeks at a time, get to over 50k dps in hardcore and still always end up with ALL ZERO's on the endgame grind challenges. I've literally played for a few thousand hours, maybe more. This is my opinion, I am not complaining, just sharing my view on it. Just about every time I get into tier 10 maps, I end up getting one shot or hit so hard that the impending ailment that pops up finishes me off before I can react. Blast me if you want but it would be kind of cool to see any single aspect of the endgame at some point before I retire and move on to another game. (not that many games compare to POE atm. )

Except with Garbinger league, the drop was a) largest in terms of unique users and b) largest in terms of percentage of unique users.

You could just do what I did and quit playing PoE until they drop a league that's worth playing. I prefer those 'easier to gear up in' leagues. That means I'd like to have a couple decent end game builds around the 200hr mark in a league, minimum. With minimal trading, and no flipping. If that's not possible, then it's not possible for me to play and enjoy the game, either. Some people can do that right now, if they get lucky, but the point is *I* need to be able to do that, and I'm a somewhat average player. What someone else can do is irrelevant to me personally. The ones who think that's too easy should go beg GGG to make hardcore BLAMT SSF leagues. And leave me alone to let me enjoy what little fun I can get out of a game.
