" There is a lot of RNG in Tetris too. It's not terribly fair. You should be able to know every single piece that drops in order, and that should never change ever. I highly recommend this game. The pieces are in the same place every single time and you can develop one path to victory that will never change, so having to adapt or think critically beyond a minimum threshold is not necessary. ![]() Thanks for all the fish! I am probably the only one who read the whole thing.
The OP is raving and ranting through more than 50% of his text, that's for sure, but he does bring a couple valid points in it. Like gems you uncover only while doing a terribly long and boring quest. |

Well, seeing as how no one at Grinding Gear Games is getting laid off and their team has progressively grown, I'd say they are doing just fine.

Also, there's this.
http://steamcharts.com/app/238960#All According to the data, POE has settled in at a higher equilibrium of persistent players. So I'd say they are doing fine, really. It'll never be a massively popular game because it serves a fanatical, niche audience (I'm glad at least someone does). You have a healthy mix of hardcore players that always stick around and then you've got professionals or people with families like my wife an I, who will hop in during the evenings after we get home from work and the kids are down and try to make some progress on the newest hardcore league. Once our main characters get killed off, we wait for the next league. Each season we always spend some money too, so as long as people keep paying and the average number of players steadily increases, POE should be fine. " Holy shit, you're the guy, o god yes thank you. You're the first person who linked these steam charts and understood that that massive drop is normal and when comparing with other games it's the equilibrium at the bottom, which should be considered, and that actually goes up every league. |
