" Yes, Yes and Yes. +5 to Wrath is incredible. Only if you can afford to lose res etc. Remember - you really do need Low-Life and Crown of Eyes for this build to output an insane amount of damage. The build on page 1 is outdated. It's from Domination, so pre 1.1.
Since I get asked a lot, current gear and passives from Ambush. Dps version, Flubby plays full Aura support/mf this time. See build on page 55. Note I'm a Ranger. The Scion version is very similiar tho. Swap the Eva wheel for Scion start nodes.

I might work the +5 gem ring into the build at some point. Since Flubby runs it and we play together most of the time, I'll continue to bath in his Aura Glory a while longer :) (started testing with Lioneye's Paw's yesterday before I went to bed, that's why the cwdt setup is in those atm) The setup for the Atziri kill was similiar. No Shavronnes at that point but Solaris Lorica, I took the three flask effect nodes in the witch area for that fight. Chayula was used to kill the three bosses (2nd encounter) pre nerf. Flubby and I are currently debating the safety of Heart of the Oak to protect you against stuns. I failed at Palace Dominus yesterday pretty hard, because he managed to stunlock me with boss damage mods. I will probably go for Lioneye's Paws and good ES gloves over Maligaro's. Another option is Chayula, loosing the amulet slot is huge tho. Taking US is still an option of course, it probably comes out behind, because it takes more points and you loose your chance to evade, which is pretty huge. Especially with Grace. Helps against reflect as well. Reflect is a new issue for the build. With the change to Vaal Pact, you have to choose wisely when to take it. It's no nobrainer anymore. I tested it with ~22k dps, and didn't like it at all. On huge packs it's better obv, the leech isn't good enough on single targets tho. With a Crown of Eyes and past 25k dps you should have enough damage to take Vaal Pact again. There are several options to counter reflect. It's basically a combination of max res (flasks + puritys), evasion (probably Grace in there, Ondar's Guile), and Vaal Pact. To be able to run Grace without going to the Templar side of the tree, you'll need Prism Guardian. As you can see, the build isn't polished yet. Especially with not so great gear and max levels there are problems you need to overcome. I respeced my lvl 98 Scion from Domination lately to account for the skilltree changes from 1.1. I basically gained 20k dps.

I didn't play the char much, basically only tested Atziri with it. I didn't change any gear since it went to Standard. (e: actually I changed the Auxium to a legacy one.) I swich Grace and Haste in reflect maps. It might need Ondar's Guile tho if you still wanna level up and play reflect maps. I have no stun problems on this char, most likely because of the damage output tho. When I came from Domination I had exactly 50k dps.

It's stated in the first post as well, maybe I'll get Flubby to redo the whole thread at some point. We're busy in Ambush tho and the build changed a lot since Domination, that's why he didn't. You want to level with 2H weapons. Jump from unique to unique. Those are very strong at their respective levels. Even with a nerfed spectral throw until you hit lvl 15 on the gem. Take good life nodes that are on your way (not the scion life wheel), get the aura nodes after the ranger part (ballistic mastery and heart of the oak). Get to Mind drinker. You're now next to all the good nodes you'll take later on. I used Wrecking Ball as my only damage node before the swich. When you hit the point you want to respec, get solaris lorica (unless Shavs ofc..), ES gear, fast-crit dagger, dps doesn't matter much. Respec your life nodes, take ES nodes and Dagger/crit. LEVEL YOUR AURAS WHILE YOU LEVEL UP. You will use hatred with 2H spectral. you need to have anger/wrath/discipline ready when you want to swich to low-life. Be aware, this is one of the most expensive builds you can do. If you're on a lower budget, do the ele buzzsaw *click*. It's very similiar from a playstyle perspective, totally different side of the tree tho. There should be a level up guide in there as well. You can now try to level up with 1h as well. Get the voideye asap, put wrath in there. Get fast swords at the start, then daggers later. You can take crit nodes earlier then. Mana is an issue tho, you'll use hundrets of thousands of mana pots. Flubby did that in ambush, not sure how it would have gone solo for him tho. STILL GET LIFE NODES. Leveling with ES gear is a very bad idea. Best zone in merciless is Rivers Crossing btw. There is no way to level faster with this build. You can do even lvl 65 there. Beat the content afterwards and jump into maps. Bandit's: Mana IAS (or point, try to find 8% ias on the tree tho.)
