" Theres enough trash uniques in the game that this feels almost worth it. Shiversting, crown of thorns, bramblejack, shavronnes pace, araku tiki, 2 blackhearts, perandus blazon. Thats like, 6 chaos in total. Editado por útlima vez por Ebonyknife#1750 en 17 abr. 2013 21:19:00

" Your argument is that I won't be here in 1 year therefore my arguments are automatically null? What a clever way of dodging. Sorry buddy, I'll be here in a year's time, but it won't even take a quarter of that to prove my point. " Seems like you don't know much about this game. Ever heard of the gem de-leveling recipe via Orbs of Scouring? Assuming you want to de-level a lvl20 gem all the way back down to lvl1, it will be a heck of a lot more efficient (and sane) to drop 20 Scourings instead of 20 GCPs. But hey, be my guest and continue clinging onto your GCPs. ✮ in-game @FTMFW

Yeah, well I'll be here in 20 years time! (wow, that was easy to write in a thread...)
And this person who Scours down Gems won't be using the same Gems for their new build. They'll need to find/buy new ones. Is it really going to be hard for someone to simply hoard all the +20 Gems and dictate their price? (like they do with Exalted Orbs). I have no doubt that 'a particular person' will have a full set of 20s, that will be their reward for playing for a year, but I seriously doubt new players will be being handed 20's on a plate, that's not how 'economies' work. Tell you what, if you're so determined to prove how utterly worthless GCPs are, how about you sell me all yours for 1 Wisdom Scroll each? Put your money where your mouth is? |

A bit stupid to think end game items will stay at its current value if exalted is pegged ?
So instead of 20 exalts for khoams, you then need to pay 200 exalts which uses up 20 slots of stash space. Hasn't the current trend of printing money taught you guys anything? |

" he is right the game value of an gcp is really small compared to other orbs thats the reason why they drop in price ohh look another 0.35% rarity that helped alot NOT but noobs wont get in anyway you only need a limited amount of gcp for your character if you are in you r80 90s most of your skills are 20 or close to 20 and you have no use for them anymore found 4 this week alone and said to myself meh id rather have something else https://poe-ssf.herokuapp.com/. Join the fun.

Exalts are too damn rare, one factor in making the game not that fun. I'd like to see a recipe and have been keeping a lot of crap uniques unid in case they ever add one.
A better idea would be adding a drop of exalted shards and possibly letting uniques sell for those shards too. I just want to play and make items, not grind for months to get one thing that costs 20+ exalted. |

" You're correct but only just. The time it will take for that to happen is so long it's unfathomable. The whole player base? Each with every gem at 20% quality? Not to mention the fact that GGG is probably planning on implementing more gems and supports. Further, the fact that many players have a variety of characters all using different gems kind of invalidates your argument presenty. My opinion on the whole matter is that exalted orbs are so useful that (combined with their rarity) there are hardly any within the economy at any given stage. That's why they are so expensive and there's justification behind it. Does it really need a solution? Let's think outside the box here: what are exalted orbs used for? Adding another affix to rare items and for trading, right? Thinking along those lines, surely if GGG increased the chance that any given unidentified rare will have 6 properties instead of give, wouldn't that lower the value of exalted orbs? Expanding on this idea, if the chances of crafting a 6 property rare from using a chance orb or an alchemy orb was increased relative to crafting a 5 property rare wouldn't that exacerbate the decline in value? I think so. This would also solve te trading issue because by lowering the value of exalted orbs, GGG would be indirectly increasing the value of other orbs thereby making them (once again) feasible for trading with. People's thoughts on my points? |

" I don't think that would have much impact on the exalts price. People would still be crafting stuff from alts/regals. I think when I started playing again last week exalts were 1 to 7 GCP. Today I see people offering 9 or one guy selling 2:17. People have taken to making gems 20% and trying to get 1-2 exalts for them because the GCPs are going down in value so fast. I think that you are right that there are very few exalts in the economy right now. Meanwhile it takes 4 chaos to get a GCP, which doesn't really make sense. That is 32-36 chaos per exalt. I guess that sort of keeps the exalt price in check, but it doesn't seem to stop going up in price. Who knows what the new patch with uniques dropping more will do to prices.. at least that is sort of GGG doing something about this problem. People's logic on RMT suddenly making more money is bad.. the price should go down if more exalts were in circulation. Players being able to find them more themselves would also mean less reason to buy them. |
