I've added Vortex as a close-range protection : it can chill and freeze enemies, also helping to ramp up fire dmg quickly with Heatshiver.

> 4-link setup with :
- Spellblade : high cold dmg from the White Wind : +45% DPS

- Bonechill.

Sidenote : A player just suggested an Occultist version. I really like the idea. I'm sure it could work very well. After all, everything is easier with some chaosplosions (and some freeze on top) !

Patch notes 3.23

Spectral Helix:

"

Quality now causes Projectiles that have Pierced to deal 0-10% more Damage, instead of providing 0-10% increased Attack Speed.

This is more or less a 10% more DPS bonus. The loss of attack speed is really unimportant.

As a secondary skill in this build, Vortex gets some nerfs : is no longer instant and deal less dmg, but should gain some AoE.

Heatshiver helmet is also nerfed :

"

The Heatshiver Unique Helmet now has "Gain 30% of Cold Damage as Extra Fire Damage against Frozen Enemies" (previously 100%). Existing items can be made worse with a Divine Orb.

3.23 : New setup with Frost Blades of Katabasis

This Transfigured version has no projectiles and spreads a chilling area on hit. A perfect skill to use with the White Wind dagger !

* Up until 3.22, this build has used Spectral Helix as a main skill, and Vortex as a secondary skill. But Spectral Helix has been nerfed in the last leagues. And in 3.23, Vortex is no more instant cast, so FB of Katabasis comes at just the right time. It has a good synergy with the White Wind dagger and its built-in chilling area is a good replacement for Vortex.

* Mark of the Elder ring + a Shaper ring grants a lot of additional cold dmg.
* Heatshiver helmet grants cold as extra fire dmg.
* With Yoke of Suffering, all dmg can shock. With "increased effect of non-damaging ailments", you can get 30%+ shock effect on big enemies.
* And as usual, it is very easy to get 100% Spell Suppression with Raider Ascendancy and the White Wind dagger.

I think you have an interesting concept build here, however there is no reason to use the white wind dagger and give up a shield.

Spirit shields can have 100% added cold damage if that is your thing, or you can use a shield with damage and defenses such as mine:



Also, a claw provides more crit chance and is faster than the dagger - example



As a result of your lower crit chance you are compensating with an Increased Crit Chance jewel instead of an Increased Crit Damage jewel which nerfs your DPS.

You also use Spectral Helix as your main skill and not Frost Blades of Katabasis so maybe you might want to change the title of your build.

You're right, I should give up the White Wind. I wanted a build made around this unique that I really dig, but it eventually lacks dmg for endgame.
Thanks for the tip about Spirit Shield. I'll see what I can do with this and a claw.
