Pathfinder will have much more QOL with better mapping and just overall being little faster than assassin. Also pathfinder perma flasks are really addictive. Prolif is huge aswell.

On the other hand looking at pob assassin have around 20% more dps with a bit more tankiness due to elusive and no poison prolif might leave you with some stray monsters here and there after spamming kb. Assassin will probably be easier to gear early on to start wanding.


Although assassin looks very promising im still going for pathfinder. Dmg should be just fine, more flask uptime on bosses will be useful, you can go zoom zoom with QOTF and poison prolif anihilating everything.
But assassin is probably just better as starter build anyway so you have to choose yourself. More dmg and bit more def or lot more qol, utility.

It looks pretty good tho. Actually boss dmg isnt even that horrible and its kinetic blast. That should be really smooth with power siphon barrage.

Here's my version of a skill tree that allocates Perfect Agony on the tree so that coralito's isn't necessary since assassin doesn't have the same flask sustain. There'a big drop in PoB DPS since it granted 75% poison duration, but that should be mitigated by Noxious strikes granting so much poison duration by itself. I chose not to go north of Trickery since I think all of those DPS and life nodes aren't worth the travel. Even the Method to Madness chaos damage+chaos resistance cluster grants more effective DPS per point than Dire Torment when factoring in the travel costs. There's a slight hit to life total and DPS in exchange for not having to depend on coralito's uptime, which I believe is definitely worth it.

I personally also really like the dazzling strikes cluster. It provides even more reliable blind while giving a sizeable bonus to crit chance and damage.

Hmmmm, so I was messing around with Assassin tree a bit, and I came up with this, what looks pretty solid I think? It has way higher HP than previous version, slightly less damage, but also grabs PA on tree what is really nice before Corallito. But also loses bunch of leech:

Cleaned up the tree a bit, and decided to swtich Assassin version to that as its probably a bit bit better. Main post is already updated.
