Do you guys even pick up rares / ID them?
Rings, Amulets, Belts. Thats all. Pickig up rares was pointless even in previous leagues, but now with new crafting mods its just pathetic. Something that was worth like 30c last league is 1c garbage in this one because you can very easily craft something better.

Yeah, I like identifying rares. It's a waste of time since 99.99% of them are vendor trash but I do it anyway.

" this is one of my biggest grip with POE, for some unknown reason GGG is obsesed with quantity over quality to a point people are forced to use filters if they want to see te floor after killing a white pack. honestly i dont know why they are so stuborn on keeping such a system, they could easily reduce drops by 70% and make item base and mods in it based on area tier, As an example if we kill a high tier boss instead of droping a bunch of rares that can range from 5 to 100 of any given mod it will drop one with mods ranging from 70 to 100. uniques drops could olso use a rework, leveling uniques should be tied to lower levels areas only with increased drops self found league fan http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/page/1 Editado por útlima vez por caboom#7201 en 12 ene. 2019 6:18:46

Having identified rares since I started, I finally feel comfortable saying that you aren't missing much unless you really like to find nice things just for the sake of finding them yourself.
Every league the vast majority of my trade profit has been rares, but the loss of efficiency kills overall profitability. For everything checked, maybe a handful are worth an exalt or more with most worth selling are just usable and budget friendly. Not only are you losing time for slowing down to pick up a potentially worthless item, you also have to consider the time spent micromanaging the inventory for stuff that may or may not sell and then include time spent actually trading. I still Id some out of habit but I've definitely had to reduce the items I do bother with given that chances are good its just more junk anyway. Even with the chaos recipe in the mix, you just lose so much time that the only benefit for identifying rares is the satisfaction of finding something yourself at the cost of making a lot less overall. Yep, totally over league play.

Of course, even lesser tier bases with good rolls can instant sell for 5-15 chaos. I don't pick up bad base armor, but I pick up all gloves/boots/belts/helms all jewellery and throw them in my quad tab.
With weapons I usually just pick up good bases, my filter shows me that, otherwise I would run out of room too much. Some exceptions are spirit shields and bows. Rares with the new crafting system probably make up 3/4 of BIS gear so yeah, pick them up and ID later. See if the rolls are good on their own, then check to see if they have craft mods available to turn them into good items. Mind you the average price of medium rolled rares is down because of the crafting system but the top tier ones are going for a lot more. Editado por útlima vez por poeGT#1333 en 12 ene. 2019 6:27:39

Rare jewels, some shaper/elder bases. Everything else is inefficient use of playtime.
Especially this league considering how strong crafting is. |

Yep agree with Burgingham, rare jewels only and I don't id elder/shaper items, i prefer to use in the recipe.

Once into mapping I rarely id any rares. Just keep 1 tab of unIDed rares for the Chaos and Regal orb recipes. Most of the time it's full (until a rare amulet drops) so unless it's an end of map boss kill with a quick inventory fill up and vendor I ignore them.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

Traders probably shouldn't... at least after a while. SSF, I'm always on the lookout for an upgrade. Also, you get alch shards which keeps the alchs up. After I'm done buying maps from Zana to fill my atlas, that becomes less important, but I keep doing it anyway.

I do, but I am not a pro level player, so I tend to play loot games like loot games. I do run strict filters though, so I never really fill up my inventory. I'd say the vast majority of maps I finish, while still picking up yellows still have 5 portals when I finish.
