What are y'all using in whispering ice in place of spell cascade? I've been using conc effect since I don't really feel the smaller aoe

Nothing. I don't have 6S yet :) But something like Hypothermia shouldn't be too bad. Not sure if Inc AoE is worth it, it's not that much increased anyway.

If you are still leveling, just skip SC and use the next gem in line.

So there is a new Watcher's Eye mod for Zealotry

180% increased Maximum total Recovery per second from Energy Shield Leech while affected by Zealotry

Even though that Aura doesn't do much for the build.... that mod is totally broken if I'm reading that right.

Like, full near instant leech constantly while face-tanking broken.

OMG it works look:

with watcher's eye (sidenote, got little lucky 2ex in day 2 - extra cheap watchers eye for 1ex)

as for zealotry, had to turn off HoI and AA, so not that good of a deal, zealotry gives more damage (from tooltip) but loosing that much mitigation could be not worth it + shatter explotions from Hoi.

using mana calc i came up with AA + Disci + Zealotry + enlightnen lvl4 to barely make it to 96% reserved, but DAMN that leech/s is HUGE

ps. as a high lvl option one could use Sovereignty (4points), or even right away on 93 at a cost of 54 int (fertile mind + 30dex node), at 90 you already should have enough int/es to take on all content without problems (i killed uber elder with 10k ES, 1.7k int at 85lvl last league deathless), incorporating hude ES leach gain im thinking shaper barage :)

This jevel is insane (got one for 3ex). Even without AA (with inc effect) i can tank t13 boss with shaper buff

Hi. A noob here, but while levling i had a red gem in wispering ice and didnt want to waste chromas to reroll it so i decided to try out Iron will support gem:

Seems like an ok damage boost? I also plan to ad that cheep
String of Servitude Heavy Belt that has strength and int boost, so the gem becomes a bit more nice.

Is this even viable option or iam just noobing around here? :D

No, not viable at all.
There is difference between "increase" and "more" modificators. "Increase" modificators are additive. Meaning that if you have 3 mods "50% increased spell damage", then your damage will be boosted by 150% (1+(0.5+0.5+0.5)=2.5).
"More" modificator is multiplicative, meaning that if you have 3 mods "50% more spell damage", then your damage will be boosted by ~237% (1*1.5*1.5*1.5=3.375).

Meaning the more "increase" modificators you have, the less potent they are. And ammount of "increases" in that build is usually about 400% or so, which makes additional "increase" modificator 5 times less potent. "More" modificators on the other hand is always have their potency unchanged.

Well, with prelude is out of way, "Iron will" don't have "More" modificator, which make it garbage as support damage skill. It maybe have some uses if you have something like 1k+ strength, but that's not happening in int stacking build.
Even in the endgame, when you have about 250 str, that gem will not give you more than 10% of DPS.

Well, if you absolutely need, i guess you can use it, but i would rather just throw a couple of chromatic to reroll colours.

It have nothing to do with CI, ghost reaver will convert it anyway. The problem with it that it will not boost survivability, cause max leech rate is in a way, but it will worsen a damage a lot.
Here is my version of your build.

Has 100k icestorm shaper average hit. which is almost 5 x your end game dps from last league.

11.5k es. Quad Curse(Enfeeble/Assmark/Eleweak/Frostbite. CWDT/IC. HoI/Disc/AA. Fortify. VaalRF. Powerchargesx4. 28AOE

Running this build in synth, looking forward to seeing what a powerhouse whispering ice can be with the new leech.

https://pastebin.com/7J3THcWp

Will be around 1.56million shaper damage per 2 seconds on finish.

Just found first "boss" of the league in a level 73 memory area (Twisted Distant Memory)

Boss was more of like a yellow mob for Whispering Ice :)
Here is the video:

Twisted Distant Memory lv 73 area

Icestorm tooltip for this fight : 8965.5 (with Cold Penetration)

You can already tank T13 bosses (or anything short of Uber Elder) without that jewel ;)

While that jewel looks OP AF, Zealotry mana reservation is a huge problem. No amount of leech will save you from getting 1-shot if you drop too much mitigation.

That does not look right. Apart from some very unrealistic items, you are using lv 22 gems. I'd love to have me some lv 22 gems :)

Increasing AoE doesn't look like a good idea either. It decreases the actual DPS due to the way Firestorm/Icestorm mechanics work. I would spend those points on something else.

Even with that incorrect max hit and all possible combat buffs (that probably won't happen either), 800k Shaper DPS is not a lot. In two of my recent videos you can see the Shaper dying in less than 4 sec in the final stage, before he can finish his first animation. He has 20 mil life and starts at 50%, so that's over 2.5 mil Shaper DPS right there.

One good catch though: they've adjusted the pathing in Shadow area on the last day before the launch and posted a picture, but I didn't understand what they changed. Now I see: Coldhearted Calculation is only 3 points again! It's a very good node. I'll think how to add it back to the build.
