I dont have the enlighten gems so far, thats why I m still using HOP and Hatred.

So my questions are: For my current setup is brutality a yes or no (since ist deleting all elemental Damage also from hatred?)

and if no, is the old crit support gem in then for brutality?

I think the gem section is very clear. You can't use brutality with anything the does elemental or chaos damage, like hatred or atziri's. Crit damage is a good choice but also check ruthless in PoB.

I got a nice large cluster jewel:

Sol desire, adds 12 passive skill Points, skills grant 10% attack damage
+ feed of the fury: Increased damage during leeching, etc.
+ uel the fight: Increased damage during leeching , etc.
+ smite of the weak: Increased Damage to maimed enemies.


Now Im just playing around where to cut regular passives for the cluster jewel needed ones.

Yes it's not easy and it entirely depends on the jewel you're using. That's why I haven't added anything specific to the guide. I plan to add a list of nodes that are exceptionally good for us as a goal for jewel crafting. Beyond that I suppose each player will have to do some trial and error with PoB.

I agree, this build is really good. Works like a charm and things are not expensive because it's off meta.

I'm new to the game, and got this build to 70, and I'm almost at the point where I have relatively unoptimized gear, but enought to get through maps.

The thing is, I decided to go with a Carnage Heart, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to use one of my 2 exalts to buy golden oil to annoint it (it's 1 ex on Standard).

The other option is to save them to buy a 6 link Belly (I use a rare 6L armor) or use the money to buy fusings to 6 link a Belly (I have a cheap one with correct sockets). What do you think about these options?

DO NOT spend 1ex on Carnage heart. That armour you have is pretty bad. Buying a 6L Belly with that 2ex is a much better option because you won't have to change it even when you have more money. Then try to get enough money to upgrade at least 2-3 pieces of gear at the same time. This way you have a lot more options compared to just buying one at a time and trying to cap resists with every change.

The Retch does work with the Impale setup by the way, the chaos damage it adds, is "reflected" damage, not added to your attacks, so brutality doesn't cancel it out. For anyone wondering. Not sure if the damage is actually worth it, but it's working for me thus far.

Hey, huge thanks for the build.
Im having issues with damage on full life. With the blood rage up im just about ~6 hp below full life -> not on full life. Is it a leech issue or some nerfs? If so, what are potential gems to switch from dofl to? Or maybe it would be more convenient to abandon br altogether

Also, how do you make ancestral protector not die instantly?

Edit: it seems to be just a visual bug and as long as you're leeching you are considered to be on a full life.

I see you found the answer to your first question.
For the protector you should place him behind you or to the side so that he doesn't get hit all the time. You just need him for the buff not for damage. He gains HP with levels and is relatively resilient at lvl20.

You're right, the belt is considered to be the source of the damage. The downside is "This damage is not affected by damage modifiers as it is considered as reflected damage.".
