Yes, indeed - however, careful if you're running it with CWC.

On that note, the gem that increases burning damage works with Scorching Ray, and - in fact - maybe you could CWC it with Fireball or something, and do a burn/ignite build?

a neat idea, although most people look at it and say "oh that's an increased bonus, it's worthless"

a brief equivalence table:
If we assume level 20 Increased Burning Damage Support, or 59% increased, then it is equivalent to, if we already have increased damage of:
000%.....59% more burning damage
100%.....29.5% more burning damage
200%.....19.67% more burning damage
300%.....14.75% more burning damage
400%.....11.8% more burning damage

GGG should really update that gem to a decent "More" multiplier :O

I Prefer Scorching Ray as selfcast, you can push the power hard by using EE and Arc for example:


Scorching Ray
Elemental
Controlled Destruction
Cast while channeling
Arc
Frost Wall


As Movementskill you can use Phase Run with arounc 5 Seconds duration.

Arc reduces the enemies Fireresis by 50%, so you can debuff the enemies Fireresis by -77%(?).

If you're going that route, try it with a Hysteria staff while you're at it.

my 2nd toon is a occultist featuring Scorching Ray + CwC + Firestorm + Cont Destruction + Fire Pen..

going ZO for godly ES regen, and stack the rest of the nodes to fire dmg, curse eff, inc DOT..

so far seems okay, w/ exception for Lighning Breach mobs, horrible lag makes me auto -10..
