So, I guess I'm at the point where I need help. I have no problem clearing rolled maps up to t16, but starting at about t12 maybe, bossing becomes really sketchy and often times deadly. I have huge problems leveling like that, because I basically lose all the xp I gained in the map by dying to the map boss.
Spoiler

I know my gear is far far from perfect. I scraped together the gear as best as I could because I don't have the right know how to really get the coin (or currency) rolling. I just wanted to ask if someone can take a look at my gear to see if I'm doing something absolutely wrong or if lack of currency really is my only issue.

What's definitely missing: The right Vinktar (not pen but flat dmg, but well... it's expensive). A 6l QotF - expensive. +2 barrage - unbelievably expensive. Lvl 4 Empower and Enlighten instead of lvl 3 - expensive. A better shield. 3 more levels to get the last flask node and two nodes for Conquerer's Potency. But what else? If I don't have the means to get that kind of currency, should I just switch builds or stopp killing bosses and just clear maps?

Thanks :)

Stop bossing then? Rewards aren't worth it for the effort and you dying so much puts the risk/reward ratio to practically 0.

+20% qual your shield and body armor.

Stibnite flask is better for bossing assuming they don't move around too much. Smoke cloud OP.

You need to get your flask efficacy up to 50%. You're losing out on an extra projectile from dying sun. This is the cheapest to-do. 3x regrets from throatseeker wheel.

Your accessories have low res rolls and can be brought up to make it easier to find gear with more damage (your gloves!!!). Your accessories need flat lightning damage/WED rolls.

That wand poe.trade link was very useful, can anyone else do that for jewelery and stuff?

I don't understand how I should upgrade to get huge damage (+2 Barrage Projectile is too expensive). I'm at 500k Barrage DPS now but where would I go next? Why am I so far away from even 1 Million DPS?

Do you mean 500k Barrage with flasks active?

One of the things I would recommend is replacing your amulet with one that has crit chance/multi, lightning damage and WED if you can afford it.

Unfortunately, you will need 2 additional barrage projectiles to hit very large DPS numbers. It's just that good! You can also try getting Devoto's Devotion with 2 barrage projectiles. I bought mine for 10ex which is also not very cheap, but much more affordable than rats nest.

Also, you only have 2 of the 4 jewels required by the build (you need more levels obviously) and they both suck. I would replace both jewels (you can perhaps add conqueror's potency back later) with something with attack speed, attack speed with shields/wands, 6-7% increased maximum life, increased lightning damage, increased crit\multi. Looks for those combos on jewels but beware that they can be very expensive.

You also need a good boot enchant: added lightning damage if you haven't killed recently or 16% increased attack speed with you killed recently.

Also, Piscator's will only get you so far. It's a budget wand. It's good for what it costs but eventually you'll want a good rare wand. My wand gives me 15% more DPS over Piscator's. In the end-game against tough map mods and bosses, that makes a big difference.

Be prepared to spend a lot of currency for small damage increased. It's one of the most expensive builds out there, in my opinion.

The answer is: You're comparing DPS with your level 89 character

Boots with lab enchant.

Wear a damage ammy. Lol. Wearing OP's amulet will give you a 100k dps boost.

Replace your jewel for something with +lightning damage%.

Level your skills.

Use bloodrage.

Killed shaper with this build today and wanted to chime in with a few thoughts.

First the obvious: this build is great at clearing maps, kinetic blast is a beast, and running around with 250% movement speed is very silly.
Single target dps takes longer to cultivate but eventually becomes enormous, my single target dps is now about 3.5 million (not including frenzy charges or onslaught). However I made some tweaks to have an easier time with shaper.

I dropped the Atziri boots and the points past acrobatics. Spell dodge is nice but this was far too expensive a way to get it IMO. Not only does it eat 4 skill points but the lack of resists on Atziri boots makes gearing dps jewelry much harder. I chose rare boots with resists/life/int (to support the piscator wand high int requirement). With those extra points, and instead of heading towards the top wand cluser (i'm only level 93) I took "Forces of Nature" and "Acuity" notables. The top wand cluster only becomes better with its final 3 points, if i were lvl 95 I would spec towards that wand cluster, but otherwise these points are much more efficient.

Next I dropped herald of ice, it doesn't add that much DPS and kinetic blast doesn't need any extra help clearing map trash. I swapped instead to a 4-link in boots which was "Wrath-Enlighten-Blasphemy-Projectile Weakness". Then used my helmet 4-link for "Blood Rage-Enhance-Orb of Storms-Power Charge on Crit". I also relied on the OP's power charge rally-cry backbar during shaper, which i really like.

This provided much more consistent access to curses and power charges when fighting shaper/guardians. Also having rare boots with resists meant that I could get very strong jewelry with all attack stats and hp.

For my helmet I used a devotos with +2 barrage. This was only 4.5ex. It is essentially the same dps as starkonja but about 250 less hp. Rat's Cage is clearly superior dps but at like 30+ex there are many more cost efficient upgrades available. In my opinion, get a +2 devotos and leave weapon + helmet upgrade till last.

The thing i would do next for fighting shaper would be to get Yriel's Fostering with attack speed. Queen's is certainly better for clearing maps but around 50% movement speed is more than enough for any boss fight.

Cleared shaper. thanks for the build! I hope to push it to 4-4.5m single target (non-boss).

Is my current gear good enough to kill shaper??? 4.9k life, PoB barrage dps with flasks up is over 880k. I've thought about getting rare boots with res and life to change out my amulet/rings for more damage.

I also have these gloves which would lower my dps to ~820k but give life and res. Are they worth using or should i stick with Thunderfist

edit. Have i made any obvious mistakes with itemization/tree?
