Personally, I checked PoB with Piscator's and, assuming I did it correctly, it looks like it's a slight damage loss. My wand cost 10ex.
I'll personally be looking for more damage from jewels and rings , which are both extremely expensive. Also, OP has insane gloves.
i am starting to feel like a piscator's witnesses preaching about how great piscators is but the amount of people wasting money on rare wands is just insane. i posted here before and got pmed by multiple people for advice, and i talked to a few others i met in game and all of them seem to obsess over rare wands.
if you open OPs path of building pastebin and do nothing but replace his wand by a well rolled piscators.. you go from 3,28 to 3.1m Dps. a perfect piscators costs like 50c. get a piscators with culling strike <500c and you will have a wand that cant be beat (OPs wands are crazy btw..and incredebly expensive too. since we mainly scale lightning damage getting high edps is not as important as inc lightning%)- if you add cullings 10% to the 3.1m dps you suddenly outperform pretty much any wand there is. theoretically this would put our dps to 3.41m!
For fun to see what it does i added the #1 ele wand on harbringer, which is up for mirror service at a 40ex mirror fee, 400edps (t1 light/cold/fire), t1 crit, t1 crit multi and crafted attack speed... an item like that puts our dps to 3,58mill...
anyway, what i am trying to say here is: a piscators is an incredible wand that can barely be beat. the weapon slot is the slot that is the hardest to upgrade and should be done last, if at all. Considering a dps upgrade by 5% (from 3,41 to 3.58) would cost an astonishing 200ex.. (or 185 if you sell the piscators first) i highly advice against it. Instead of spending 50ex on a wand, use that currency to buy jewelery which is where most of your dps comes from anyway!
The OP surely has very good items (and exceptional wand/jewels). However, his gear is very "added dmg" - focused. If you take my rings for example, the comparison should turn out more in favor of the rare wand. And tbh. opals should be used for such comparisons/discussions. Piscator's is a great wand, but compared to OP's wand or a mirrowand I could hardly imagine it being competitive.
P.S. My gear is ofc. nowhere near as good or single-target focused as his. May try it out eventually, but more focused on maps/lvling for now.

i had a look at your gear and piscators (without a cull corrupt) is just barely worse than your current wand (roughly 5%?), but considering you use esh's mirror which will provide a lot of flat added damage a piscators will still scale much better.
anyway the point i am trying to make here is: when you upgrade your gear you should do so as efficiently as possible. For example you wouldnt wanna get a 30 ex jewel if you dont even have a +2 helmet enchant yet, as the dps improvement of a 4 stat over a 3 stat jewel is significantly less than a +2 enchant vs no enchant. i see a lot of people heavily investing into weapons when the return they get is much less than what they could have gotten if they spent that money on jewelery or whatever. maybe you can beat my 50c piscators with your 25ex wand, but when i take the 23ex i save and spend it on other things, i will benefit much more. wands are incredebly expensive for what they do, so new players should focus on upgrading them last. i feel like this is something a lot of people do not understand

Thread moves very fast and it's easy to miss people, don't be afraid to repost. I looked back at your gear and here are the quick improvements I see.
1. Stop using empower on your wrath until you can get an enlighten 2+, You are most likely running dry on mana quite a bit.
2. Get a better rolled Piscator. Your's is bottom of the barrel on attack speed and crit, those are our best stats on that wand.
3. Just level your gems. On the added lightning damage gem alone the difference between lvl 18 and 20 is over 100 lightning damage. Think what you would kill for a 1-100 lightning damage roll on a ring or something, and Piscator's makes that 2-200.
Those are all the easy cheap things you can do, after that you are looking at saving for rather expensive items like attacks vinktar or expensive jewelry.

Alright, so I started gearing this character up today.
Bought: Devoto's helm with the 2barrage enchant = 1ex + 130c
Atziri's Steps boots with the 1-160 Lightning dmg enchant = 2ex and 10c
I still need to grab a vinktars flask with lightning damage to attacks which will cost me about 220c probably. So I won't have too much left over but hopefully I can get decent rings/belt first. I also will eventually switch out the thunderfist gloves for gripped gloves.
Quick question:
Is it fine to use an Empower +2 with Enlighten +2 and Wrath? I was wondering since I've been leveling my enlighten for awhile and it's 1/3rd the way to level 3. (Yeah I know that's still a shitton of xp lol). I figured I'd just buy a non corrupted level 2 Empower if that's fine/worth it and level it alongside the Enlighten.
How are you achieving such high attack speed? Even if I got a wand with attack speed, I still can't achieve the same attack speed that you have in hideout. Is it from all the attack speed jewels? I've tested in Path of Building but still can't achieve it.
