Like anything else you buy in life mate, quality and scarcity. In terms of comfort and durability , the more expensive, generally speaking, are better. In terms of showing off, the runs with less availability tend to go for more and be more desirable by the subset of people who are into this kind of stuff. It might mean jack shit to you, but when I spot a guy wearing a pair of 2000$ boosts I can tell he's got good taste and knows what's up. Not all of them are rich, some of them are just genuinely THAT into it.

I don't see the correlation but if you insist on using that as an example; id rather get cool shoes than another supporter pack for a free game. Cost-Benefit and all that

Mostly I get points which I can convert into stash tabs/guild stash tabs. They give me a quantifiable effect. All of the MTX is just a bonus that I don't care about. Only reason I'm even going to do it is because I can convert purchase amounts into 80% value as I don't wish to be indebted. It gives me a legitimate quantifiable benefit to give GGG my money to convert it into something that I need since I don't trade much and keep most of my good items and currency.

As for $300 Dollar shoes, from my experience from the very minimal time I've had to wear designer shoes I saw nor felt any benefit that excused the price tag. Hell I rarely spend more than 30-40 on shoes unless I'm getting winter or work boots. I'll generally go up to 120 or so for a good pair. If the only thing you get from it is the ability to "flex on plebs" I don't get it. I mean, you do you bb and I won't judge I just can't understand it.

I accept it, I just don't understand it. It's your money you can spend it however you want, it just makes no sense to me spend that much additional money on something that seems to give no direct benefit. It baffles me, probably as a result of my situation when growing up.
