Plans to reintroduce the old GUIs?

I still think that feminism and the likes of the one female who's name I shall not mention (not worth it) and super-sensitive people that take showers in raincoats are the reason behind the change. And I am not even in the conspiracy band-wagon, I don't believe in alien abductions, secret government programs for exterminating humanity and chem-trail plots.

But I strongly believe the bolded part I wrote up there IS the reason. There was nothing wrong with the previous UI orbs (imho, they were too big but that's just my lonely opinion) there is nothing wrong with this one either so I don't really care, I just hate changes for the sake of the changes and especially if they were made because one very small group of people is too sensitive to mature content. Personally, I'd come out clean about it, about the complaint's and I would put nude Greek Gods instead to celebrate the beauty of the body and piss the super-sensitive group even more by saying, "well ok sure, these look even better than those saggy females that you thought are too perfect or too tortured".

I wish a nice day to all of you :)

I'm just thinking ... no.

@emphasy For your information, you have Vagan, Vorici, Elreon, Haku and Leon on the male side of Masters (exiles). I'll leave the rest to you.

EXILES EVERYWHERE, PLEASE?!?!?!
Would it really be that hard to have GUI options? The art is all there, it can't possibly be that hard to allow me to use the old GUI if I so choose.

I won't get into the reasons for the change, but I will say this: The new orbs look retarded. They look completely tacked on, out of place, and look like someone had to quickly design them over a weekend before a Monday morning deadline.

So regardless of the appropriateness of the old orbs, which makes me laugh with how much gore and nudity exist in the actual game, the old ones simply looked more appropriate, and were much higher quality.

If they allow you to choose from a multitude of UI's, they would be duplicating any work that involves changes to the UI (They'd need to make the same changes to each and every UI theme available and make it thematically appropriate for each UI theme). This is likely why they are very adverse/cautious about the idea.

As i already said in another post, i want my bitches back!

Yes i know that the new style is about content bla etc. pp. i would prefere that the gamer can choose in UI option "old" and "new" .

Thanks!

@Nicholas_Steel

Politics are polarizing. I am sure everyone agrees on that.

Changing the GUI back is easy (on a single user's end). However, this action is not sanctioned by GGG and will get you banned (according to a GGG post on one of the older threads).

I look forward to a GGG response addressing the potential reintroduction of the bronze and silver GUI; whether that be: sanctioning the user modification specifically, plans to reintroduce the GUIs as a microtransaction, or flat out saying it will never happen.

We need some chained templars.
But to be fair I don't really care either way. As a dude it's nice to see a naked woman. Do I need it in a fantasy ARPG? No. Was it a GGG "trademark"? Imo absolutely not. You find that stuff in fantasy all the time so I think it is a nice touch to get the GUI involved more witht he ingame content, BUT I almost never look right next to the globes, because I rarely have time with all the stuff going on on screen. So I don't really care and don't really understand what all the fuss is about either.

And if they introduced something new to the UI, they would need to make appropriate graphics for each and every UI theme for that new UI item.

In any case, considering the map that lets you play against player created Exiles is a thing, I don't see my concern being much of an issue as they already have something very complicated that generally needs huge reworking whenever they change the skill tree lol.

the girls were not a trademark in the sense that they're unique to poe. but if you look at pictures on imgur 2 years ago and look at some now you could recognize the same game by the girls.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Show me another game UI that has chained prisoners - male or female - as adornments. To my knowledge that was an aesthetic unique to POE so it's not surprising people consider it a "trademark". And it's not that they were just plastered there for dramatic effect with no rhyme or reason; they actually fit extremely well in how they were nestled around the globes - unlike the skull and lion.

If there are no lions, how do we have a Marceus LIONeye?

Hmm...

As Marceus is one of the mane characters in the lore line, the templar might explain Marceus' sobriquet by saying that "Pride cometh before a fall."

Maybe GGG will reveal these lions later on. It would be cool to encounter some fierce corrupted lions whose roar alone was a devastating weapon.

Hmm... That would be cool. Demon lions with their roar emitting a sonic blast of damage. Hey GGG, we have fire, lightning, and freezing, but no air bending capabilities. Only the guy in the library zone (usually) that conjures up the mini tornadoes has any kind of air weapon (Tornado Shot doesn't count).
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
