[2.4] The Dy'Ness Tank
Greetings!
" True. There are a lot of mods. So far I have made about 12 runs on the Labyrinth. Some have been decent, some are junk. I spent 1 on the gloves, and the others on the boots. This is the current mod I was given. I can maybe see some situations where it would be useful, but not very useful for me. The gloves seem to be working out. It shoots 3 projectiles which chain. Kind of works out on crowds... Greetings!
I have updated several sections on the front page and finally got an updated screen shot posted. All updates have a [2.2] tag. " Great question and not so great of an answer. Sometimes I like to change things up and experiment for PvP or with different skills. At that point in time, I may not necessarily want everyone to know what I am using/trying when I am in the Arena. On top of that, someone may look at a modified tree/gear, for PvP or testing a skill, and think that is what the tree/equipment are, and not what was posted on the front. IE: The front post showed a regular amulet and stats with the corrupted shavs. For PvP I was running a corrupted Shapers Seed with a normal shavs. This lead to higher regen but lower resists, and being cursed could cut into the resistances. For someone who was not running PvP, the resistances should have been better than the extra regen, unless they were at a top end game boss, at which point I would hope they knew just enough to run with whatever gear they thought best. ~Dy'Ness QBotU_DyNess - www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1171890

Thanks, makes sense. Bonus question; seeing you have leech on weapon, you don't think the Ghost Reaver is worth the 3 points?
I'm currently in merciless in the new league with a Consuming Dark and about 4500 ES, it's been a rough ride getting here, but it really starts to get fun when facetanking Brutus and never dip below 95% ES. I think I'll go CI in about 4-5 level, hopefully 5kish ES will be enough. Edit: Words. Editado por útlima vez por Zugas en 6 mar. 2016 8:55:02

Hey, Dy'Ness. A quick update.
I updated my Scionic Flametank to use Elemental Overload, dedicating one of the 4L's to CWDT(1) – Increased Critical Strikes(max) – Ice Spear (8) – Fireball (11) (Could have used any other 6% crit spell rather than fireball, but to keep the theme...) This pretty reliably keeps Elemental Overload up when fighting enemies tough enough to not be immediately wiped out.... and for enemies that are immediately wiped out before they get to hurt me repeatedly, well, they obviously didn't need the 40% MORE damage to kill in the first place. It is a bit expensive in links, but it avoids the issue of manually having to deploy Orb of Storms to activate and allows one to concentrate on the fighting. I know that your firestorm will generate a few crits on its own unlike my Incinerate, but if that doesn't prove enough to keep up EO on a regular basis in the harder fights, you might find this helpful. Scionic Flametank 3.2: The classic ES-CI-ZO-GR regeneration tank is back in business, stronger than ever before with 50-60% ES/s recovery during most fights due to creative use of regeneration, leech, and recovery mechanics https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1271604 Editado por útlima vez por Pi2rEpsilon en 7 mar. 2016 16:46:47

Got to say, this build is great for running Labyrinth. Especially after getting all the Ascendency upgrades. Chaos immunity means the needle sprays are just a minor annoyance. And most other traps I could basically just RUN past them. I get hurt, but it is actually safer to keep moving than stopping. I just charge through the traps and regen back the ES right at the end. Boss fights are a joke, it just takes a while.
I am still curious about using one of the other classes. Obviously the Scion works with the baby Juggernaut and baby Occulist. The bonus points were handy to get regen from Endurance charges. But one can't help but wonder if a more specialised Class could be more efficient. I am happy with what I got for now, and it seems Labyrinth farming is going to be something I can do regularly. Good to have content not gated behind RNG for a change. |

If anyone is interested I respecced by lvl 92 marauder into this build. Tree isn't really that different and I used the gear off of my witch version of this build.
I wanted to try maruader so I could ascend as a Chieftain and get the extra regen and the life leech off of fire damage. Works pretty well to be honest. I got Tawhoa, Forest's Strength and Hinekora, Death's Fury which I thought was a pretty solid synergy with this build setup. Editado por útlima vez por ansizf en 11 mar. 2016 7:39:11
