Empower VS minion damage for zombies.
So, currently I run Life Leech, DMG, and minion life for my raise zombie on a +2 helm. My primary concern is having my zombies survive longer. My level 2 empower grants them another 1k health, so at lvl 3 empower probably 2k~ health.
The thing is, I duno if minion dmg with life leech will help them survive more in the long run. I don't know how much an extra level or 2 will affect the zombies dmg VS straight up minion dmg. Anyone have any insight if they have tried it before? WTB minion dmg tooltip Editado por útlima vez por Waves_blade#0878 en 31 dic. 2013 11:15:06

Life Leech is a huge boost to zombie survivability. I'd recommend adding in Melee Splash instead of life and seeing how that helps.
If I have two fish, and you have three fish, how many fish do we have?
None. These are MY fish. |

" Trash mobs don't concern me, bosses do. Splash isn't very helpful VS most boss fights, except like Jungle Valley. Then it would probably be a godsend. |

I've been running the same setup. Life Leech + Minion Damage + Minion Life on a +2 helm. I've been considering swapping my Minion Life gem for a Multistrike.
Even then, I'm not sure my zombies will match the damage output from my skeletons.... Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do. Benjamin Franklin Editado por útlima vez por Artanthos#0192 en 31 dic. 2013 12:19:29

life leech can be big in assisting zombie survival.
Another option you might want to try is to go with zombie-empower-minionlife-X, and then have a source of a Vitality Aura running (totem or otherwise); since the Vitality aura is a % of their max hp, if you double-boost that with empowered zombies AND empowered maxlife, the vitality ticks can have them going on for a while. #1 rule of official forum boards of every video game ever: use the forums to relay info, gather suggestions, or the rare narrow-focused Poll; but NEVER as "feedback".
#2 rule: Never say the #1 rule in an official capacity. Let some guy on the forums say it, leaving yourself plausible deniability. |

81 summoner here;
Stick with HP, get empower and a +2 helm. For survival I use vitality aura + rejuvination totem with every aura passive. Reason: Life leech will not help on bosses. Why? They can be insta-gibbed by attacks. The only counter to this is packing them with as much HP as possible, and then things like life-leech, regen, etc can help. The only way to raise their hp is the support and level. So keep minion HP. I use with mine: HP, minion resistances, and damage. I run 5 auras to beef them up further, like purity of the elements, this with the resist gem, they are capped on cold res, near cap on fire/lightning. Stuff like that all said, the two biggest things I've found that increase summon survival are: 1. Enfeeble/vitality/rejuvination totem combo 2. Blind on skeletons. 14 skeletons x 10% chance to blind. Cuts around 75% of their physical damage taken out completely. I am waaaaay more vulnerable than my pets... they can tank Dominus on Merc, but if I am so much as breathed on, I wipe :( Editado por útlima vez por gr00grams#5298 en 31 dic. 2013 12:23:52

" I've been working on hp nodes and shield nodes, trying to boost my own survival. It has come at the cost of aura nodes (I only manage 3 auras currently). minion damage is a support designed for specters which can be both ranged and melee.
zombies are pure physical melee , that means if ever there was a gem for you , it is melee physical melee physical + melee splash for non boss encounters. and then switch out melee splash for life leech or cast on death ( which is hilarious) |

" This is always the trade-off for summoner really, no diff here I'm pretty used to it ha. I got lotsa tricks to keep em away for the most, just grouping tends to move quicker than I do as a summoner, so I opt for solo for safety. They just don't move at the speed single players do. |
