It seems that the Allstars-build fits simply optimal into the new 3.26 league-mechanic. HoA is buffed impressive 200%.

○ Because we ourself are already supporting with 3 top tanky auras all our own keystones, we are the tank. We can pair with quite offensive supporting Mercenaries and Animate Guardians and are optimal supporting as well as being supported.

○ The new Mercenaries of Trarthus will be eg geared best as curse-bot, and/or as additional aura-bot (for purity of ice for melding of the flesh, etc.), for the HoA high-scaling frenzy charges, for withers, and they will throw some more relating skills and supports on the table.

Recommended Mercenaries / Types / Auras / Curses

In endgame the perfect developed merc grants 2 auras (or in a mageblood set-up also 3 auras), 1-5 curses, frenzy- and a few powercharges for HoA, permanent witherings and 2-4 other helpful skills.

When you are yourself Hybrid Life+Es search for a Frosthand (Int) - Mercenary Purity of Ice + Discipline.
When you selected yourself CI search for a Frosthand (Int) only Purity of Ice.

Wearing a mageblood you can specialize your permanent flasks and +max-resis to team up with in general all Mercenaries granting 2-3 auras (i.e. of Determination, Discipline, Grace, Purity of Ice / of Fire / of Lightning, Haste, Vitality, Clarity).


The Merc should wear the amulet Defiance of Destiny for best recovery in high poe-content. Without this high recovery-amulet the mercs are often too squishy.

75% ele-resis and 60% chaos-resis should be capped, i.e. on boots.


Mercs are hard to gear for immunity to refelected damage-map-mods and would need 1-2x the ring "Sibyl`s Lament" or "Replica Alberon's Warpath"-boots.
I recommend to reroll reflected damage-mods.

Best granted auras, curses and buffs / Placement of Skills

Auras

Conservative in tankystyle I try to not place Grace and Determination on the Merc, because at some hard juiced content the Merc will be out of aura-area-of-effect or die and we ourself close following because of the downsides of our keystones Ghost Dance and Divine Shield. I keep these decisive auras up on myself.

Of course with Grace-Mercs regretting Ghost Dance and with Determination-Mercs taking no Divine Shield on Skin of the Lords enable to place these auras on the Mercs also.
Or wear instead mageblood with the relating jade+stibnite or granite+basalt-flasks.

As Hybrid

As Hybrid Discipline can be placed most safe on the Merc.


With mageblood variations:

With a mageblood the flexible placements of all auras on the Merc instead on yourself turn very interesting.

Determination can be switched to the mercenary too - when you geared a mageblood and a granite flask. Then Purity of Fire on the Merc with a Rubin flask fix your 90% resis beyond, the shield the Svalinn or a CIP unholy might implicit or trigger weapon are beared instead aegis aurora.

Also the same way with a mageblood and a Jade-flask, Grace can be located over to the merc.

Also Purity of lightning on a Merc and a topaz flask or Purity of Fire and a Rubin-flask are flexible useable.



Curses

In maps recommend to place Temporal Chains and Enfeeble on Asenath Gloves onto the Merc.
Punishment is perfect granted by Merc also.
Assasins Mark instead should better be selfcasted because of the gemquality Power Charges on hit.
Despair should probably been selfcasted also for high despair-gemlevels.

Shield:

Because the Herald of Agony scales his damage extreme nice with frenzycharges and for HoA-crits also simultan with a few additional power charges, the most wanted item of all slots for our mercs is probably the Victarios Charity shield (for Int / or Str-Mercs).





Rings:

Best implicit is to combinate with Blackflame "Adds x to x Fire Damage to Spells and Attacks" on 1 ring and "Increased aura/discipline-effect" on the other ring


Blackflame is best for never ending withers. The merc needs to deal some firedamage, granted by 2x implicit "Adds x to x Fire Damage to Spells and Attacks" on the amulet-implicit, a ring, the prefix-benchcraft "+ x fire damage", the abyss-jewel's suffix in boots, etc.
The fire-dps-component should be 2 x t1 to be not rounded down by the ggg-engine to zero 0.
(Or otherwise you can eg combinate Blackflame for the frost-mercs with the ring "The Pyre" for the mandatory needed fire-damage-component or get the "igniting conflux" suffix on the Mercenary's rare helmet.)

Switch Sin`s Rebirth-flask to Vessel of Vinktar o other flasks.

Use some lightning and elemental curses, conductivity and elemental weaknes, use elemental equilirium ee, use renewal on a cluster for biggest shockings also against Ubers on top further.

At base Animate Guardian has 40% elemental resistances and 20% chaos resistances. This means through his gear (helmet, boots, gloves) and our other buffs 35% elemental resistances (43 if you take the mastery) and 55% chaos resistances need to be provided.
Outside of this, his main layer of defense is Recovery and Regeneration.


Support your AG, Golem and Spectres beside with the fitting lifeflask for further more recovery.

Ascendancy notables such as Necromancer’s Commander of Darkness and Guardian’s Radiant Crusade applies to the AG too or Bone rings used by us. Pathing to Grave Intentions is the alternative on the passive tree.
In lategame the AG gets even more tanky with a +2 to socketed minion gems-implicit in Aegis Aurora and exchanging the +1 Ashes of Stars to a +4 / +8 rare amulet. This way Animate Guardian reaches tankyness of lvl 31 and beyond.
When you want AG immortal, socket him in a hungry loop (elemental army - empower - minion life - meat shield).

Ranking of the Ascendancies

That’s huge and makes the auras- and herald skilling much more easy. That’s equal to 2 additional auras (flesh and stone etc.) or 3 flexible small clusters or jewels. Aurastacking 2.0

So Guardian climbs upon rank 3 in [3.26]

○ Champ decreases because all other ascendancies get some basic fortification too with animate guardian's kingsmaker.

○ Elemancer with new herald-efficiencies, 200% buffed chaos-golem and shockings becomes interesting too.

Runegrafts

○ The new Runegraft of Fortress increases es, armour, evasion and ward by 40%. That are in average nice +500 es.
Absolut perfect tanky fitting in the build's allstars-concept.

Following as result we could when wanted gear much cheaper, more easy and more flexible different bodyarmours, like high es or high es+ar rare armours or brass domes.



○ As CI: Runegraft of the Soulwick add more vaal souls for more vaal discipline-uptime (half a soul ripper for 4 c ! :-) )

Arachnophilia! I do the further maths and the pobs soon. It's thumbed in minimum around in total a 80-150% big buff in damage, for b.i.s.geared mercs up to 200%. and 30-80% in tankyness and ehp.

I corrected it in the 3.26 line-ups above.

Overall that Runegraft of Fortress looks perfect for the 1 passive.

Second one can be that of the Soulwick for 1 vaal Soul each second for more uptime of vaal discipline.

I am very curious about many until now not revealed runegrafts further too.

Hey there! This build seems super interesting to play, I've never seen such complex guide out there, however I want to have a realistic expectation. What kind of person would start with this as a league starter? Someone that knows how to make 50 divs in the first 3 days of the league or is this a build that can work with low currency?

What I'm trying to say is, will this build work on a low budget? or will I be soft locked until I can farm a a bunch of currency. I'm not that good at making currency and often just get lucky with drops.

In the case that the build needs an appropriate knowledge on how to make currency do you know or have an alternative nice low budget build that can later transition onto this one?

I would love to start with this one but if I don't get lucky with currency and struggle to even get started that would be pretty sad haha.

HoA is not really a racer. Only with much poe-experiences like Balaar, PoE-Dan or Oldboi HoA was high ranked in the leaguestart-leaderboards.

On the other hand I guess the trademarket will be very difficult in this leaguestart because everybody needs 5 x the gear for Mercenaries, so choosing more meta-skills is quite risky.



Which Prices / Budget?

Thumbed prices were, example necro 4 days after leaguestart, in [3.25]:

■ 15 chaos Ghastly theater, CIP, Rainbow strides, clusters, ghastly jewels for yellow t5
■ 30 chaos Apep slumber, Darkness Enthroned for yellow t11
■ 1 div aegis aurora for red t14
■ 2-5 div skin of the lords/loyals for pinnacles
■ 10-20 div for 25M damage and juiced red t16
■ 20-30 div for 50M damage, t17 and ubers
■ guessed for 3.26: 30-60 div for 200M damage

So the prices are much lower as other minionbuilds, but HoA with clusters and auras remain slower to be built up.

Sounds good! I'll go ahead and start with this one, even if it takes more time it looks very fun!
Two more points to be considered after patch notes:
1) Cyclone lost "more Movement Speed" quality, so our MS is touched in a bad way here. And now we have to level Cyclone to reduce ms penalty to 20% less(down from 30% at lvl 1)?
2) Storm burst got reduced cast time, so stacking will be even faster with this trigger

1) Yes. I don't understand ggg with their cylone-ms-nerf. Also we need with lvl 20 6 more mana-reg/sec, that's no problem, we were already in average at not needed high 75 mana-reg/sec.

But also the movementspeed in [3.26] is easy to overcompensate:

- Simply first we change in movementspeed on a flask-suffix.

- Further the Mercenary Kryssa, the Unrivalled, add the aura Haste (or perhaps possible much better Saqawal's Nest and Aspect of Avian).

- Variable with Zarnok, the Detainer's Endurance charges we could switch Elixier of the Unbroken circle to a Quicksilver flask

- In the lategame a mageblood for more movementspeed on flasks instead darkness enthroned turns a bit more interesting.

- Or saving bandit Kraityn is possible beyond.


2) Stormbursts are a bit faster stacking up the HoA-virulences and add a lot es on hit, only while channeling, but until around 105 virulences cyclone as trigger remain much smoother.

Overall cyclone is more fun as storm burst or other channelskills. But there are dozens triggers for HoA possible, like unleash-caster-skills, winter orb, unalterated ball lightnings, the new 3.26 lightningstormskill, firestorm, etc., in "skills and triggers" are much more variations.

The final Crit-Poison-HoA-Necro PoB is ready with the custom configurations for the Mercenaries and Animate Guardian and Runegraft.

which varient of the HoAG build is the overall best? as im not sure what to pick
