ELE LIGHTNING STRIKE - ALL T16s, Shaper, Uber Atziri, HOGM, Chayula, Elder
@ NastyToxic
Im on domination and bought Atziri's 30% all res @ 1 gcp. That's pretty cheap. Build going great! Im 70 - runing low level maps with almost no problems!

" 1) Hi thanks for the question. That could also work very well. I like Gymnastics because it is quite hard to balance strength and resists when you are using BofR and Rathpith's Globe. Also Strength gives some boost to melee physical damage and life as well. But your way is definitely strong alternative as well. The Dex helps with your evasion and accuracy too. 2) Yes that could also work, I've spec'd in and spec'd out of Golem Blood before - the extra regen does not make a big difference on this build. You get hit so rarely that regen doesn't really factor, even on chaos damage mod maps I have found the 1% regen from Oak's Heart to be fine. You can make up for it with flasks but I have only found the need to use 1 life flask with instant life regen. Diamond Flesh is also a good node if you are having trouble with your gear resistances or if you want to raise your res overcap for elemental weakness maps. Spoiler
Hi, I really like how you combined the 2 builds. You are right about the spell block - thanks for the correction. I am still worried the damage may be too low with Facebreakers and Infernal Blow because most likely we could not use Abyssus for our helm as it is not really optimal for this build. However I have not played a Facebreaker build yet but I think we could output some nice DPS. We still stuck in this problem: - Without the Shav I would be really worried about doing maps with chaos with the build - Unfortunately with a Shav it would be extremely hard to get the right colors for FB Infernal Blow like (4Rs and 2Gs or something) - We are bound to get some blue sockets so the best use for the Shav would be a crit spectral throw build. Because of Spectral Throw and how you can play at a safe range - evasion/block may not really be needed - Using Spectral Throw would result in very low damage because we hardly take any damage nodes in the tree (which is why Facebreakers is more optimal). I really wish I could make the melee Witch/Scion evasion/ES build work but it is really tricky: No Shav vs. Shav, right colors, damage nodes, evasion/block nodes spread apart, right helm (cannot use Bringer of Rain because we need an ES chest so we lose on block and blind), etc.. An armor/ES build is easier to do because they have a great spell block node by the Templar and the high armor/ES nodes are right there by the Templar as well such as Faith & Steel. The can also use Aegis Aurora which is a great AR/ES shield. Unfortunately no unique EV/ES shield yet exists in game. Anyway let me know how your Scion works out if you decide to go with it! |

" Hi, you will have a lot of fun with Dominating Blow! I have yet to make a tree dedicated to Dominating Blow - I think it would be very similar to the one I have right now except i would make the changes below: - Increased Skill Effect Duration nodes: these are just below the Scion and would be great for this build in addition to the Increased Duration gem. You will want your minions to last as long as possible - You will need less block/evasion/blind: the great thing about the minions is that the enemy mobs almost always prioritize targeting the minions and not you. So it is very safe and you hardly take any damage. So maybe unspec out of some of the evasion/block nodes and put those into damage. You could also use a 6L chest instead of Bringer of Rain so you can customize what supports your minions get - Gem links: For single target/boss situations you may want to swap out the Dominating Blow (red) gem for another DPS gem like Infernal Blow (red). You can also take out Melee Splash if you use that and put in Added Fire Damage for the boss situations - I recommend checking out other Dominating Blow guides for more ways to improve your build Editado por útlima vez por Ceryneian#3541 en 8 dic. 2013 23:07:31

" Hi, how are you liking your build with Wings of Entropy? Your Spell Block is pretty much the same as your regular Block because you are applying 100% of your block chance to spell block. So if you have 60% regular block you will apply 100% of that = 60% as spell block. Anyway let us know |

" Hi, Diamond Skin is a good node if you need it for resistances to balance out. Leather and Steel is not that optimum because it has a boost to armor as well. If you decide to go IR with this build then Leather and Steel would be a great node. About armor, many people have asked about this, the build is not really optimal for armor but you can make it work: IR would convert all your evasion (except from Dex) into armor. You can run Grace/Determination and use Jade/Granite flasks to boost your armor. I'm not sure how high your armor will get, but I have 10K evasion with Grace which would give a bit less than 10K armor with IR (evasion from dex does not apply). You can then use a Jade / Granite Flask and Molten Shell to boost your armor to ~32K for brief moments. If you have that high armor, you may as well use Aegis Aurora. But without Rathpith's Globe you will never get to max spell block of 75% like I have. If you use Aegis Aurora + Rainbow + Lazhwar you will have about 56% spell block. There are other armor builds with ~65% spell block because they use Aegis + Rainbow + Lazhwar + a spell block node by the Templar. The only other way I know to get to max regular block + max spell block like I have is to use Wings of Entropy, but it is a 2H which means you cannot use a shield. So if you really wanted to go armor + block, it could work nicely on this build but there are more optimum armor + block builds. Editado por útlima vez por Ceryneian#3541 en 8 dic. 2013 23:24:59

" Hi thanks for the comment. That is a good shield to use for the physical damage. I actually used that shield before switching to Atziri's Mirror. It is not that great because it gives very low evasion and we do not need the armor (which is low as well). Atziri's Mirror requires the same level as Daresso's Courage - level 54. But Atziri's gives a lot of evasion and superb resistances and intelligence. As Agustin_hh mentioned - Atziri's Mirror is very cheap as there are very few builds that use evasion shields.
