" No. Unlike Diablo 2 and PoE 1, it impacts raw currency drops in PoE 2, so it will make you find more good gear and more good currency. The problem is, people are undoubtedly going to pick up all the good currency that drops, but they likely aren't going to bother picking up and identifying rares, so it will make the amount of raw currency in the economy grow faster than the amount of good items. Couple that with the fact that crafting in the game is currently absolutely abysmal, so there really isn't a good use for all that currency, and it will just accumulate. The people who are opining that "chase gear is always gonna be super expensive" are maybe missing the point. That's like saying normal people won't be able to afford a Lamborghini truck and a house in the Hamptons, even if inflation is kept at a healthy level. No shit. |
