I was originally trying ED/contagion, but I recently swapped to using hexblast as my primary clear. Blasphemy supported curses are instantly reapplied if you don't manage to one-shot. I was spending almost all of my health (as a blood mage) applying ED&contagion&despair on a pack of mobs previously, now I just run in and hit hexblast and the pack is dead.It's also allowed me to swap ED to full damage support gems to help with killing rares/bosses.
Contagion is neat in that it can spread curses that have impending doom supported, but I found it is too many actions. Either I am getting rushed and need to start killing mobs immediately before I die, or I am only applying it to 3-4 mobs because they are all so separated. I'm still using it right now to help with boss damage, but I will likely drop it if I can find something better. |

" unless you somehow double my dps (which is impossible, i have all possible chaos dmg nodes and good wand too) it is mathematically impossible to kill a2 last boss in 5 minutes with ed contagnition at lvl 30-35. It took me 18minutes of permanent ed+cont on boss lol. Can you share ur ED dot dps tooltip screenshot? |

One thing I've foudn to help with a bunch of mobs is profane ritual if Ive already killed a few and have corpses. It seems to do a decent amount of DOT damage and has helped me get out of the jammed up spots Ive been in lately.

Can anyone confirm whether pierce "Projectiles from supported skills deal 30% less damage if they've pierced an enemy" applies to the dot portion of the damage?
