Spoiler
The 'Automate Cast on Freeze Ice Spear!' build centers around the interaction between Ice Spear and Icicle Burst. The key mechanic involves linking Ice Spear with Cast on Critical Strike (CoC) in a sword that has the 'Trigger Level 10 Icicle Burst when you Hit a Frozen Enemy' mod. This setup creates a loop where Ice Spear triggers Icicle Burst, which then triggers Ice Spear again. The result is a continuous cycle of freezing, shattering, and high damage output. Key Mechanics:

This looks super fun. Question on the weapon. Is attack speed really that good? Once you trigger, attack speed is no longer used, right? Would Crit Multi be better?
|
|
Those cc enchants on armor & gloves do work with ice spear since its a spell, on an attack?
|
|
" Aspd does not affect the ice spear, it will give Qol when you use lancing steel and inc trigger rate of the forst bolt |
|
" yes, it does not give critical to Ice Spear but don't worry Ice Spear Phase 2 has too much critical strike chance. I suggest base atk critical because our atk critical is not 100% yet, which will sometimes not trigger the coc. |

Thus far, tons of fun! But agonizingly squishy thus far. It might feel better with more Life as gear improves.
Relatedly, I'm struggling to find a good use-case for Sigil of Power. In my experience, the moment the build stops moving is the moment it dies. |

tried the build, it's fun but i haven't gotten the damage or tank yet (i understand most of the defence is from freeze). my version is far from optimized (or finished, lazy to buy jewels) but i mainly want to share the use of tanu ahi.
since we hit so much and spend life so often we can use it to get near permanent adrenaline and onslaught, but it means we have to reserve at least exactly 50% life, so overleech from petrified blood isn't a benefit anymore. but i think it's ok since we hit so often with life gain on hit. it's also easy to get a good corrupt on it also, i removed the inverted resistance mastery. i don't think it makes sense to use it when we use scorch i made some other small changes: - crit clusters instead of grand spectrums - endless munitions instead of focal point forbidden jewels - path through shadow start for life and crit - taming rings - changed timeless jewel position because i want whispers of doom - all the skills used already have base pierce. so i removed the pierce passives character name is icoomedeverywhere i think a much tankier version would be pathfinder with eater boots to get all damage can poison, then use forbidden jewels for oath of winter |

I agree a fun idea that I do like. Unfortunately I too find it a little too squishy for my liking. If you have enough mobs and everything goes right it's awesome. As soon as you stop a single mob can come smack you and kill you. Adding progenesis and bloodnotch/immutable force along with other recovery nodes do help also, ultimately doesn't feel as worth as I had hoped.
For me I can't seem to get Tani Ahi to work, lvl 21 arrogance, no petrified blood or life reserved, maybe it's our instant leech that kills it? The damage may not be crazy other COC builds, but the loop is very fun to play. I wish the enchant was available on a 1h to open up more build possibilities. Warden is a neat idea but for me has been lackluster in all builds I've tried. |
