I wouldn't say there is a right or wrong approach to that. Just start with what you feel is most important. May be leave out those having an awakened version if you are planning to replace them with it later.

I quality Purity of Elements first. That extra 5% to all elemental resistances helps relieve some pressure on your gear mods so that you can start shuffling things around.

Can you use a focused amulet instead of simplex?
