Overall it`s clearly cheaper to scale the HoA up with some HoA-crits (Assasins mark, spirit offering, +2 maata`s, fearsome force, brittle, bitter heresity bloodline profane ground, AG kingmaker). The default 250M pob is this league around 60-80 divs only (when you do the +1 curse on the AG-cursebot instead on ashes), or with 3-flasks mageblood-qol 160 div.

On the other hand that higher burst-damage is really only needed against really though bosses (deep aul) and ubers, everything else survives not long enough to feel the benefits of a bit slower upramped HoA-power charges. The lazy 1-button style is much more fun in maps.

The cheap #5p-voices are already fine too to go cheap above 200M-400M damage. The #0-p voices are simply more beautiful! Wooow!

Suppress tattoos are valuable, often they free up in chainreaction 3-4 passives in lategame.
Like Fenrir wrote, aw fork or returning projectiles-pierce is for harbingers-farming faster as pierce. As necro also asenaths-gloves are attractive for harbingers and capped 35M-dot.
In maps also the golden rule ramps up chaos-resis. I never had serious problems with around 45% chaos-resis in t-17 when flat dr was already stacked high, the arakaali pantheon and golden rule does the missing c-resis.

Against t17-dot or gigant-rogues I always recommend a elegant hubris supreme decadence on top for manually 100% uptime of more es-recovery. A +8 amulet is also interesting, but a bit less qol for gaining a lot dps. And of course a source of withers doubles the damage (can be autotriggered).

I love your 16.5 and delve 1000 video - that are great clips! [And the aul-4carry-service, hehe!] The others too!

This is my first time playing with Herald of Agony and I'm really enjoying it thanks to this build!


I managed to get a mageblood recently and so I thought I'd put it to good use, however I've noticed that the "Mageblood" tree and items/skills might not be updated for 3.27 yet?


The "Mageblood" variation doesn't take lycia ascendancy, is that because with minions being used for support auras, plaguebringer is stronger?

Also, in the mageblood items, it has a bone ring with life on spell hit, is that just being used for the minion attack speed and attributes?


The helmet in the mageblood items also confuses me, it has +2 minions as the implicit, how is that done? (I'm fine with my helm, I got so lucky crafting it, I couldn't believe it) but if I could make one to free up another prefix for more ES that would be cool.


Another question. The "Mageblood" passive tree in the PoB goes for CI, I was curious if there was a specific reason for that.

Yes, I am sorry, the "mageblood"-items and tree are still not optimized in the pob.
The mageblood set-up takes also the lycia-bloodline. I correct it soon.

So overall the by mageblood double-buffed sapphire-, movement- and granite-flasks of mageblood are most important, with anti-bleeding and increased armour suffixes.
Then with mageblood 2x no longer needed +2 cold-resi-jewels are exchanged into minion-poison-jewels, forbidden flame and flesh, or grand spectrums for crit-damage instead.

That are the major mageblood-changes.

There is 1 new low-budget pob-loadout added 750M.
There are 3 new mageblood-pob-loadouts added: 1B, 2B and 4B damage.


Like you did with the Adorned is also best with good magic ghastly jewels.
And your flask set-up is perfect too.

Helmet was false copied from ingame into pob, it's an ordinary affix, not implicit. I try to correct it, or simply take one of the other typical used +2 helmets.


Shaper-ring is quite flexible. Attr and resis are fixed on it, mana-reg with mana on spellhit and benchcraft -3 manacosts of channeling skill cyclone are probably most valuable. This way mana for cyclone and life+es on spellhit is also inunterrupted up against some mana-draining mobs. Alternative the mana-reg extreme can be flexible balanced into mana-masteries and on jewels also.

Overall I recommend from t16.5 onwards hybrid life+es instead CI. Hybrids have doubled recovery-mechanics in dot-damage-situations, and that is often stronger as the CI chaos-immunities in my experiences.

CI seems to me only against a few mechanics like Ultimatum and U-Sirus reasonable.

Yes, your helmet is b.i.s.! Great done and crafted! Congrats!

Your Adorned and tree is best done also!

Only: as far as I see you not need the 2 passives "survivalist" any longer and can use them for other passives, like 100% spell suppression, when you shift a few resis on the harvest-bench.
And when your AG wears Garb of Ephemeral, you can try out to go without the poison-mastery too for 2 more free passives. But it works only nearby and does not protect you from some ranged crits.


Until now the landing "Hybrid Life+Es Poison-HoA" tree and items are most optimized with the qol-buffed auras-spectres, but also here I am still testing a lot like the consecrated ground-generator for the bitter heresy bloodline (I switched now to holy flame totem and zealotry-spectre instead former cwc-purifying flame because HoA-virulences were a bit slow ramped up against bosses). And my chaos-golem is until now too squishy in most t-17 content.

Looks already fine and on the good path!

In the heresity bloodline and with the 9th medium cluster you would deal already around 160M dps against singletargets.


Mmmhmmm, the Feared should be easy when not activated with the mod all feared at once.
Probably Shaper`s slam and dot and Cortex slams are most lethal now without Atziri.

As CI your 3.5k are a bit low for t-17 and feared.

Your phys max hit taken is a bit low 27k, 21k without flasks.
One possibility is to switch molten shell to cwdt lvl 1 -immortal call lvl 3.
You have the Molten Xophgraft, so immortal call is a good addition.

But take better stats on your grafts, like +ar on the molten xophgraft.

Switch in two-three +2 cold-resi-jewels and then reach 86-88% max-resis already easy without mageblood.

As CI you need mandatory the keystone "Ghost reaver" for the minion-leech of "Bone barrier".

Or try out hybrid against bosses for 1.5k additional life against oneshots and the reg of the life-flask against dot.

Im little confused bcs guide is REALLY BIG and little bit chaotic (? but I feel your passion for skill there, its massive :D).

We re talking about 180M - 180 milion dps or 2B - 2 bilion dps? I didnt checked pob but I dont see this dps in any of videos. I mean I have 80 mln pbrand and since the dmg is instant I kill bosses faster so Im confused with numbers, but anyway good job with Herald of Agony. Kinda forgotten but legendary skill.

Any recommendation of ascendancy for 2000+ delving? Necro is tankier but panthfinder have higher recovery? I think at deepth 2000+ we need more sources of anti phys dmg hits or smth tbh?

And this guy who post AUL 600 deepth video, he didnt carry 4 ppl, they are farming another maps? Its just solo AUl and for multi mirror build dmg is kinda terrible? But hes stacking only 30 viru so thats probably why : O

There is a short delay for the HoA-raising animation when bosses awakenes.

Only 9-12 withers are instant up with withering step, the full 15 need 0.1 sec longer with sin's rebirth and chaos golem.
In maps the 98-113 virulences are always almost nonstop up.

Everything fine, I think everyone understand M for milions and B for bilions. I just couldnt understand it. I mean even if u need 15 sec for ramp up with 1 bilion dmg you should almost one shot boss with next HoA auto attack. Even if we calculated dmg with attack speed so 1 Bilion dmg in X value amout of time, then one HoA auto attack must have REALLY high value too. and for 1 bilion or more you should kill uber uber bosses rly fast, smth like multi mirror int/acc stacker jugg (currently top 1 dps in game probably). Thats why Im supprised with these numbers bcs I dont see any video with that HIGH dps, BUT I think its just my wrong observation.

I have quesiton, what ascendancy and version can you recommend for me to farm valdo maps (feared, 100% deli feared, ghosted feared, non void maps) and deep delve? Necro Crit?
