3.23 EXPLOSIVE ARROW BALLISTA ELEMENTALIST - League-Start to End-Game. Easy mode.

Is this build viable for 3.21, since we dont know about weapon trees etc

With the Devouring Diadem helmet, there are no mana reservation problems even after the update. Maybe we should choose this helm instead of a Blizzard Crown?

Devouring is totally fine. It's a more defensive option. Blizzard will be more DPS.

If not going Devouring, simply use a small cluster with mana reservation.

This build is insanely viable.

The weapon tree will only BUFF this thing... which could enable some funky and cool gameplay options to spice things up.

I still haven't come across any other build that will outperform this one as an all-rounder from league-start to Uber-Pinnacles... so I'll probably run this build again... or I might just try something different, but overall worse, to mix things up. I haven't decided yet.
There would be an updated PoB, right? Just making sure...
Would we want to try for any of the extra projectile nodes? Apparently a Large Thread of Hope can pick up a good amount of things on the right side, but not sure if we want to go all the way over there for it.

EDIT: Yeah, a Large Thread of Hope lets you allocate Multishot for +1 Projectiles as well as Master Fletcher for another +1, as well as One With Nature or Quickstep depending on which other points you'd like. Definitely seems like it's worth it since you can trade your Rain of Splinters out.

Do extra projectiles really do much for this build ? I've always found for single targets that only one arrow in the fan hits per shot. For clearing maps the explosion/ignites takes care of the packs.
Current Build: Level 100 Elementalist EA Totem

Or you can simply use Rain of Splinters for a single point? :P

Extra arrows is good for clear but yesz does nothing for bossing.

Typically, Rain of Splinters or extra arrows is useful up until the point when your DPS is high enough to just melt mobs with proliferation... Which is usually late game. At this point you swap Rain of Splinters out for another DPS jewel for even faster clear and single target DPS.
Loved this build. 3 weeks I go I was pretty much maxed out and decided to try same build as a champion instead. I would highly recommend considering that, a little less damage but a ton of survival. Map bosses melt and Sirius etc no problem at all damage is that high
I've run this build the last 3 leagues I've played and it's always killer. Many thanks to brunowa for posting it. Sucks that we lose 20% fire multi and Bastion of Elements was nerfed a bit, but I'll probably start it again for Crucible.

Been thinking about about trying Champion at least at the start to shake things up. From the looks of it the dps will be lower, but survivability might be higher? I've never had too many issues with dying, with the exception Simulacrum (waves 29-30 destroy me) and Uber bosses. So, in light of that, I'm wondering if Champion's extra bit of defense is worth the substantial loss to dps. Any thoughts on this from someone who has compared and contrasted or maybe played both?
